Parting Thoughts

1 Well, you've made it to the last video 2 of this Photoshop Bootcamp, 3 and I'm not gonna teach you anymore here, 4 but I am gonna tell you about some resources 5 where you could continue to learn from me. 6 The first thing is I have a bunch 7 of classes on Creative Live. 8 So if you're looking at one of my classes, look for my name, 9 click on it, and you should most likely find a list 10 of my other classes. 11 And maybe your next step is to get into more 12 of a specialty class that works on a narrower range 13 of Photoshop features and goes a little bit more in-depth. 14 Another thing you could do though, is I have my latest book, 15 which is about purely Lightroom Classic and Photoshop. 16 It's called "Crafting the Landscape Photograph" 17 and the title and the subject matter is all about enhancing 18 landscape photography using Photoshop and Lightroom, 19 but the techniques really are universal 20 to any kind of photography, just that I picked that topic 21 to ensure the book ...

didn't end up being too thick. 22 And so with this, 23 that means I'm not gonna be covering things like 24 how to retouch faces. 25 I'm not gonna show you how to straighten buildings if you 26 tilted your camera up 27 and it's tilted in, that kind of thing. 28 But what is here can be used not just for landscape images, 29 but for all sorts of things. 30 And lemme just give you an example of two chapters. 31 There's one chapter about eliminating shooting artifacts, 32 and that's because before you press the shutter, 33 the choices you make in the settings of your camera 34 and even the gear you buy is gonna influence the way your 35 image looks in Photoshop. 36 And there are ways to get around the artifacts 37 that some of those choices might cause. 38 And so I show you how to do that. 39 Then there's another chapter near the end of the book, 40 which is about eliminating processing artifacts, 41 and those would be things where you did something 42 to the image, either in the way you interpreted the raw 43 settings when you're adjusting the picture 44 or you're in Photoshop 45 and maybe you're putting in adjustments and masks 46 and retouching, and you make a big print and you look at 47 and you go, "Wait a minute, 48 what's that little thing over here?" 49 And you want to know how to fix it. 50 Well, there's a whole chapter on how you can evaluate 51 and eliminate artifacts that you created 52 through whatever it is you did in Lightroom Classic 53 or Adobe Camera Raw and Photoshop, 54 and I think you would find that to be very useful. 55 If you want to get the book, lemme show you 56 how you can get a discount. 57 If you visit my publisher's website, 58 which is rockynook.com, 59 then you should find the book in there. 60 They have a whole bunch of books, though I find if you go 61 to the bestseller section 62 that it should likely be in there 63 and then use the discount code of Ben 40 64 and you'll get 40% off the book, which is much deeper than 65 what Amazon sells it for. 66 Also, if you happen to get the ebook version, 67 unlike buying it other websites 68 where you would only get one format, 69 I believe you'll get all three formats that are available 70 and that way you could have it as a PDF file 71 that you might have in your desktop machine 72 and also other file formats, 73 so you can have it on things like a Kindle if you happen 74 to use that to read books. 75 Then a few other things. 76 I have a website that has over 300 hours of me teaching. 77 I teach Lightroom, I teach Photoshop, 78 and I teach photography, 79 and that's all found at mastersacademy.com. 80 This in general, is not for beginner level people. 81 Instead, it's design specifically for people like you 82 that just finished a class that really got into Photoshop 83 and now you want to take it further. 84 You want to get much more in-depth. 85 Also, don't forget, we have a Facebook group 86 where I mentioned this at the beginning of the class, 87 but you can continue using that over time 88 where you can ask questions, ask for advice. 89 Just try to keep it on topic 90 because if all you do is post a picture 91 and brag about what's in it without actually asking 92 for advice, then it'll get deleted 93 'cause we want to end up keeping this nice 94 and pure about truly learning Photoshop and Lightroom. 95 Then if you wanna see some of my photography, you might 96 as well go to Instagram 97 where I have three different accounts. 98 But I want to thank you for joining us here in this class 99 and I hope to see you guys in the future in a future class. 100 I'm Ben Wilmore, thanks for tuning in.

There were several mind-blowing moments of things I never knew, that were incredible. However, it was very strange how each lesson ended abruptly in the middle of him teaching something. It seems that this class must have been pieced together from longer lessons and we don't get the full lessons here. It was frustrating when the lesson would end mid-sentence when there was something I was very interested in watching to completion. Perhaps it should be re-named the A-W Bootcamp! LOL! Where not cut off, the material was excellent, deep and thorough. Definitely worth watching!
