Designer and author Betz White has been sewing since her mother taught her as a young girl. A graduate in Fashion Design from the University of Cincinnati, White left her corporate career as a children’s wear designer to stay home with her young children and to pursue a new love: creating one-of-a-kind items from second hand materials. Betz draws her inspiration from vintage shapes, elements of nature and everyday objects. Her bold aesthetic combined with her education in apparel design results in a unique offering of patterns and projects for the modern sewer.
Betz is the bestselling author of Warm Fuzzies, the go-to book on recycled felting, and Sewing Green, presenting 25 projects made from “repurposed” thrift-store finds and organic fabrics. Betz has been featured on Martha Stewart’s television show (twice!), on the cover of CRAFT magazine, and on numerous craft podcasts.
