Marcus Bell is one of Australia’s most awarded and published photographers. Often chosen by brides for his emotive,
documentary style Marcus is also known for his landscape wedding imagery, dubbed “Weddingscapes” by some. He is
the youngest photographer to become a Grand Master of Photography – the highest level awarded by Australian Institute
of Professional Photography (AIPP). Just last year American Photo Magazine recognized Marcus as one of the top 10
wedding photographers in the world. He has received the Grand Award for Photojournalism at the Wedding and Portrait
Photographer’s International (WPPI) awards in the USA and the International Wedding Print of the Year at the Prix de
la Photographie in Paris. He has been named Australian Wedding Photographer of the year, not once, but 3 times and
featured on the UK BBC series “Masters of Wedding Photography”.
His experience in running an efficient and successful studio and his ability to consistently produce images of the highest
creative standard, has seen Marcus sought out as an authority on creative imagery, digital workflow and master printing.
His small photography studio in Brisbane, Studio Impressions, is now one of the most sought after wedding and portrait
studios in the world. The studio’s steady success over the last 10 years, has been built, not on fancy marketing techniques,
but on sound business practice, passion and dedication to beautiful imagery.
The accolades are not what make Marcus such an adored wedding and portrait photographer. It is his softly spoken,
relaxed and calming nature that draws couples to hire him for their wedding. He has an innate ability to make people feel
at ease in front of the camera. He has a passion for people, families and touching moments, and it shows. His images are
elegant and emotive, but it is his easy going nature and quiet, unobtrusive way that truly make him one of the best wedding
photographers in the world. A self-confessed romantic with a swathe of awards to prove his technical ability, photography
will always be Marcus’ passion; his way of giving people a record of their love and their lives to share - a way to tell their
story.
