Class Introduction
We're talking about actions and automation, as Drew told us, and that means that if there's anything you do on a regular basis in Photoshop that has more than one step, or even if it's just one step and you have a hard time remembering that step, we can record it as an action. Once we record something as an action, it can be a multi step process, we can suddenly then be able to apply that with about two clicks of your mouse, and then you no longer have to remember the steps you used to make it. And if we learn about batch processing, then we could take 1,000 files, take an action and say apply this to those 1,000 files and then we can leave for lunch, and when we come back from lunch, suddenly Photoshop's done work on all those images. And so it's a really nice way of working. It first allows me to not always have to always remember the steps in a technique, and the second thing is it allows me to apply it to a large number of images very quickly.
