Warp Shadows with Gradient Tool
Let's talk about this card again now we made this card look the shadow look like it is curling up but the car's still looks flat so what do you do when the cards still looks flat? You have tio make the corners look like they're they're curling up to, but it also needs to be subtle because they're not like actually curling they're just kind of flipping away which creates a little bit of shading and it's not that hard to dio so you can command click on the card and then you want tio go to your great aunt tool and you want to have it set too black with a transparent with this black with a transparent end and then you can draw a small grady in in each corner now if you're worried about messing up your card, you can also do it on its own layer he just click and drag just a small grady and we're gonna be adjusting it they're going to do a little bit bigger than that command z okay small great aunt and then I want to do it again and the opposite corner and now we can drop the opacity to let's...
say forty percent and we can also play with the blend mode soft light which in which case you would have to adjust capacity but that makes it so that it's no longer black if, uh is a red color so matches better, and that looks more it's, more realistic, so you can see now that it looks like it's fading are curling up the edges of the card, so it matches the warped shadow underneath. So do we have any questions in the audience? If you have any on online audience, especially go ahead and leave me any questions that you have about this before we move on to the next one? What about you guys? I just want to comment that I've used the work tool, but I've never heard of the smudge or the wave tools that's really cool ten others, so many different ways and photo shop to do the same thing, but they all have their own little quirks and their own little uses, and so that's, why I want to show them all is so that we can really figure out ok, if I'm going to work this and I need to use this tool if I want to work this I want to use is this tool because they all were so differently that, you know, if I wanted tio curl up the corners of that shadow for that card, it wouldn't have worked as well with this much, it would've been a lot more difficult than it with the edges would have been more blurry probably wouldn't have worked out as well when you use more often than the others that you like to use more often, or is it just I don't really use the warp because I like to make the edges of cards curl up, and I use the next one to which is the puppet war aa lot. I use it more for. I use it a lot of designing, so it automatically translates into scrap booking, too. Did anyone have any questions? No questions that people have been showing what they've been using it for on different tools, one of our viewers are saying, I walked photos to straighten buildings. Oh, yeah, that's, your straightening, the ceiling. Yeah, I've seen that before. I don't want my photos a lot, but I've seen it happen.

I bought all three of Traci's classes and am very impressed. Even though I consider myself a professional Photoshop user, I learned some great new tips and tricks. Not only that, I found the classes inspiring and it kicked my digital scrapbooking creativity up a few levels. More than worth the money. Easy to watch, inspiring and a great teacher.

This class was fascinating and moved at a good pace. Scrapbookers these days use so many varied Photoshop skills and are some of the most creative thinkers around. I learned so many practical - use it right now! - tricks for shadowing any kind of object and make styles out of them for one-click usability. There's a bit much of the biography section at the front of the class but I felt the usable information was enough to warrant the purchase so I can skip the personal section. Traci is a friendly and clear speaker, and a wealth of knowledge. She should definitely be featured in more advanced scrapbooking classes AND even for creating vector embellishments!

Awesome class! WOW, I had no idea about the world of shadowing. I just started digital scrapbooking and knew my layouts were lacking something and now I know what...depth! I definitely feel more confident now in adding shadows to my pages and I have also graduated from Elements to the full version of PS thanks to Traci's suggestion. I am headed now to search for more classes by Traci. Thanks for a great class!
