Class Introduction
(upbeat music) Oh, hello. I'm Casey Faris. Thanks for checking out this class. Today, we're gonna be learning about compositing inside a Fusion, which is, if you're not really familiar with compositing, it's all about making fancy things. So if you've ever seen lightsabers or explosions or anything on a movie that didn't really happen in real life, it's kind of added in post, that's all called visual effects. And it's achieved with a process called compositing, which is basically just taking different elements and combining them into to look real if you're looking for visual effects or to create motion graphics and animations. And all of that is possible inside of the Fusion page of DaVinci Resolve. So I'm really excited to jump in and show you a little bit about how this works. Hopefully it gets your imagination going because your imagination is the only thing that's gonna hold you back. So if you can turn your imagination to 11, well, then your videos will be at 11, too. And that's...
what we all want, right? We want videos at 11. So let's get started. I'm really excited to jump in.

This is a great course. I'm an absolute beginner to Fusion (although I know a bit about the editing within Resolve). The course walks its students through the basics in a very easy-to-understand process. I feel confident that I can now use Fusion effectively for my videos. Highly recommended.
