Capturing Attention
No nine. How do you capture attention with your digital cues? I want to point out here, this is a spectrum that everything we talk about, you have to make sure that it feels good to you, that you, again, the intent is good, the intent is positive. If you do too much of one thing, it's not good, it's too high. If you do not enough of something that you're not, people don't pay attention to you. The sweet spot is right in the middle movement is the first way that you capture attention. So we are eyes like to follow things in motion. It can't help it. So when someone, for example, when I'm doing dating seminars and things like that, you'll notice that when a woman walks across the bar, everyone, both men and women will typically glance over and look. That's because our brain is programmed to follow objects in motion. Same with speakers on stage is they'll cross over the stage of their move. I always encourage speakers to throw away and burn a podium because podiums are like the worst thin...
g for engagement, you have a lack of movement. So movement in your website can also provide um movement in your digital products can provide attention. Now you can show movement a couple different ways. You can show movement animations, you can also show a movement within your photos, so you'll notice in this middle photo hero, like you can see there is, I'm in the process of moving so either my hair is blowing or actually moving my body. That actually shows engagement, even though it's a standalone photo, if you're thinking about your photos and you want to show engagement, you can also have photos of you in the process of moving the last photo, I'm actually dancing in that photo. So even though it's a still photo, I'm actually showing movement, which is a great activity or engagement cube. If you have too much movement, it's distracting. If you have too little, it's boring. So the sweet spot is right in the middle is having some engaging movement to capture attention. By the way.
