Freeze Motion in Water
So let me frame up really quick. We're just gonna do a couple portraits. Okay. We're gonna use this side light first, so look over that way, kill that one, yep, perfect. Okay, ready, one, two, and... (camera clicks) How's the power look on that? It's good. Okay. It's hitting full power. Yeah. (camera clicks) (camera clicks) (camera clicks) Cool, I like it, let's do some verticals. Okay. Good, I kinda liked your arms up like that. (camera clicks) It doesn't always have to be so like, I'm tough. (giggles) Yeah. Clearly you're tough, but you also, (camera clicks) you can show other sides of you. There you go. Now throw your arms back in. (camera clicks) Glance over at me a little. Just keep your face off a little bit that way and kinda glance back. There you go. (camera clicks) I can barely see you. Sort of like that. So like look and then yeah, just kinda glace over. Okay. So don't fully turn your head, perfect. Pull your left shoulder towards me more though, ...
thank you. (camera clicks) Good, one more. (camera clicks) Good. Okay, ready? You wanna do goggles with it? Let's do goggles, yes. Here, let me come in just a little bit at you. Am I looking above you? Yeah, just off above me, okay. Ready? One, two, three. (camera clicks) Good. One, two, three. (camera clicks) Good, oops, one more. (camera clicks) Good. Check this. Let's add that light in. Turn it down to six five. One second, 10, nine, seven, six, five set. (light beeps) Clear. Alright. It's actually not so bad once you're in it. Okay, ready, one, two and three. (camera clicks) One, two and three. (camera clicks) Okay, let me try again. Nope, that one's a big piece. Can you shove that one? Sorry, thank you. No, it's all good. Appreciate it. Trying to keep the camera dry. There we go. There we go, cool. Does that help at all, the mooring light? No. Okay. (camera clicks) Thanks though. Gosh, this sun is making it hard to focus. Okay, chin off just a little bit. To your other side, yeah. (camera clicks) (camera clicks) Okay, let's jump back behind. Got it, up to 10? Yep. Let's have you look completely this way. This completely side? Yep, side. Yeah? Okay, don't move just yet. (camera clicks) (camera clicks) It's good. (camera clicks) Seaweed's coming in from behind. Oh, okay, here. Let's do a couple real quick. (camera clicks) Goggles, or hands up to goggles. Actually block a lot. Yeah, kinda like cheat it a little bit that way. Perfect, yeah, a little bit more? Turn to your left. There you go, stop. (camera clicks) I didn't hear a beep. Oh, there it goes. (camera clicks) Cheat your left elbow up. Oh, that's your right, yep. Left. There you go, perfect. (camera clicks) Okay, so I want you completely from the side and again, just pop out and really, really strong pop out. Straight? Yeah, try to get as much water as you can out. Let me get a good focus on you. I'm like pretending that I'm taking my last stroke kinda thing? Kinda, I mean, you're coming up and just kinda popping out. So just stand up. There's a lot of seaweed coming in. Okay. But I'm still doing my arms like? Yep, totally. The idea is just to pull up as much water too. Okay, got it. Yep, exactly. 'Cause it picks up so much backlight, it looks really cool. Okay. Okay, whenever you're ready. (camera clicks) Yeah, just like that. Little bit more right there. Perfect, oh man, this is. (camera clicks) Oh, that was good, do another one? Really explode out. (camera clicks) Yeah, really push back that water on your right arm. Okay. Yeah, that was great. Okay. Two more of those? Oh, that looks really cool. Just I'll just hand, other hand? No, totally. That's why we're working together. Yeah, okay. Okay, ready? (camera clicks) Yeah. Oh, the seaweed. (laughs) Did you get seaweed on it? (laughs) Okay, go. (camera clicks) Yeah. Great, that looks really cool. Okay, we'll do it again, I got a little flair back there. Whenever you're ready. (camera clicks) Good. One more, I'm gonna get really close to you this time. Okay. Just try to get as much water as possible. Go. (camera clicks) Good. One more, turn a little bit more towards me even and just look right over me like you're coming out, you're getting out of there. Like over, okay. Yeah, yeah, exactly. Ready whenever. (camera clicks) Good. Pull your left arm down just a little bit more. So this, okay. Yeah, the right can go back up high, but the front one looks almost like Mario jump. (laughs) Okay. Okay, whenever you're ready. (camera clicks) Good. Let me see this. Not as much water on that one. It's okay, it still looked good. Let's do another one. Pull back as much as you can. (camera clicks) Yeah, okay. See here? I even like the body language with your legs. I mean honestly, let's come out more so we can even see that a little bit more. 'Cause it shows that you're moving forward, you know? So I think seeing that little turn like you are, it looks nice. Okay. So I like how we're just getting more and more out of the water. Yeah, (grunts) okay. I don't think I need it, honestly, now. Now that we're almost done. (laughs) Thank you though, Casey. Really appreciate it. Uh, one second, we need that sea rake. No, I'm just kidding. (laughs) Yeah. Okay, turn a little bit more towards me again? There you go, right there. What's that? (wind drowns out dialogue) I think you guys are good where you're at. Okay, ready and go. (camera clicks) Yeah, cool. One more? And go. (camera clicks) Cool, one more of those, I caught you a little early. Go again? (camera clicks) Cool. Pull up as much water as you can this time. Okay. (camera clicks) Good, let me see this. Yeah. Lookit. Got it? You wanna see? Yeah. Check it out, check it out. Oh, that's awesome! Cool. Wow, it's crazy how you make stuff look like. Thank you.

Loved all the ideas and why he's positioned his athletes the way he did, and positioned the lighting. I met Dustin a few years ago at and NPAC conference. It's nice to see him doing these teaching videos. His work is very inspiring to me.

Less talk and all action.. This is the best no mumbo jumbo talks and straight to practical work..

I really enjoyed the multiple exposure video, the pity is that they are no videos to talk about the post processing of this image.
