1 Let's talk about advanced techniques 2 for using prompts in ChatGPT. 3 Sometimes it's easier to have the AI guide you 4 through the creation of prompts rather than actually 5 creating the prompts from scratch like we did. 6 So what we're gonna do here is we're gonna 7 go back to my super prompts. 8 Here's one on how to do interactive prompt engineering. 9 So we're gonna copy this from my super prompts. 10 All right, so here's my prompt on how 11 to be a prompt engineer. 12 I've asked it to help me brainstorm on prompts 13 and I've also, if you notice, 14 provided some examples of prompt ideas, 15 but it can generate random prompts. 16 Or let's try, create a prompt, 17 one for learning about prompt engineering. 18 We can either have this prompt iterate 19 on my ideas or it can generate random prompts. 20 But what I think I'm gonna do here is create a prompt 21 for learning about prompt engineering 22 and explaining that 23 concept to someone with a 24 high school education. 25 So no...
w it's come up with a title for this 26 and allows me to ask, answer it with one 27 of the five ideas if I like all of them. 28 So I like the idea of the journey of a prompt 29 from idea to execution. 30 That's sort of what we're doing today. 31 And if I ran that prompt again, 32 it would not give me the same output exactly. 33 So here it's going to give me an outline 34 of all of this. 35 Now this is how it decided to answer me. 36 It's pretty interesting. 37 It's decided to answer me in a numbered list 38 and it's as a script. 39 And this is not how I choose to learn. 40 So what I'm gonna ask it to do when it finishes 41 is provide this in a 42 written format in five paragraphs. 43 Don't use lists. 44 Explain the mechanics 45 of how ChatGPT works. 46 So think about this as a conversation. 47 If someone doesn't understand you, you ask them to clarify. 48 If ChatGPT doesn't give you the answer you want, 49 ask it to clarify. 50 So now, rather than that bulleted list, 51 it's actually providing pros. 52 So before it was sort of a interesting, the birth 53 of a prompt, but now it says the first step 54 in a prompt engineering is choosing a topic. 55 So that makes sense. 56 It's trying to actually write as if it was a blog post 57 because I assumed that it knows that I write a lot 58 of blog posts and a lot of people are using this 59 for blog content, but that's not what I wanted. 60 I wanted it to actually teach me something. 61 So it talks about a lot 62 of the same topics we talked about today, how we design it, 63 testing the prompt, refining the prompt, 64 and it gives me a little summary 65 and it did it at the level of a high school student. 66 So that's another thing. 67 If it was a business person, 68 it might be a little higher level. 69 The other thing that I was doing earlier, 70 and this is another example of using, you know, 71 a prompt today, was I was using ChatGPT 72 to generate prompts for another kind of AI. 73 And here I created a prompt 74 for image platform called Mid-Journey. 75 And that Mid-Journey platform has a little bit different 76 method and it's told me how to do that. 77 You may be using ChatGPT to create prompts 78 for other AI services, and if you do that, 79 you can use ChatGPT as your prompt engineer 80 for all sorts of services providing it understands 81 and has been trained on that.
