Gesso Technique
I'm going on to the next step, which is just plain straight up justice, so I've tauron my my bit off of there sometimes it's white on white thing that I'm about ready to dio you can't see when you're doing it, but later, when we do a stain over top, kind of like the crayon, when you put the crown on the surface to act as a resist, you can't see it, but later, when you add things on top of that, you can so this white on white may not show up everywhere. And if I if in doubt, if I think my breyer still has some color and I wanted to maintain that white, I'm just gonna wipe it off with with my heart wipe you get used to saying that so just into that white, white jess. Oh, on a white palette. Hopefully you can see that I'm gonna do the same thing that we did with the color, but this time I'm just stamping white over top. You can do this on any and all of your paper. The answer is yes, I love that answer. The one thing to keep in mind about just so and your stencils, jess, I was the enemy o...
f stencils I usually use things like my handmade stamps with jess oh um because usually I don't want to run right back to the sink and wash my tools off and as american never wash my tools office on my breyer right? I never wash my tools off because their tools but the the exception to that rule is just so intel media really because of their properties really build up a thicker layer and it makes those stencils not give you as crisp oven image later on. So if I'm using jess oh with my stencil want to make sure that I wipe it down if I'm not right by a single take a baby wipe and and wipe the excess off of it I'm not so worried about the acrylic paint that seems to come off a lot easier you guys work with stencils a lot in your own artwork I know you two dio in the middle yes, recent obsession I know so there's tons of store about once and we're really grateful to deco art for donating all the ones that you guys are using today that you get to take home today handmade stencils are really easy to make a swell ok, you can take something like a think you have him on your table in between you just plane overhead yes, you got it over high transparency she's so great for cutting out your own stencils so just a simple exacto knife um, and cutting out shapes the little tedious, sometimes, but again it's getting your own hand in your artwork rather than something that was commercially made. Nothing against something that's commercially made. But any time I can get my own hand in my artwork, I'm going to try that you can take paper punches and punch out circles, but just a simple exacto knife and cutting out your stencils, transparencies air. Great. You know another great thing, and I don't have them with me playing cards. Go to the dollar store, get a couple packs for a dollar because their plastic coated they stand up to a lot of abuse as stencils so they don't just disintegrate with a lot of the wet techniques that we're doing so playing cards. You could just make all kinds of little slight little stripes and punch little holes, make all kinds of patterns that just have, like a deck of of your own handmade stencils, right? That's should be another class. That was fun. Ok, hey, okay, so we're back. Tio stamping white on top of layers. Don't forget to use your handmade stamps.

As a proud father looking for ways to share good times with my kids, I'm glad to have found this course. I have tons of ideas that I can now capture on paper using a variety of tools. My plan is to take some time on Sundays to do only ART with my kiddos, especially on cold Winter days. The class is very informative, particularly in the items to get. Since this is new to me, I would not have any clue on what to buy, but Andrea gives you the ins and outs of what works and what doesn't ... a really good time/money saver. I highly recommend this course. Thanks CreativeLive !! You guys are awesome.

This is a great beginner course and is loaded with creative and simple ideas. I love the fact that Andrea doesn't waste anything! She makes great suggestions for reusing items that would normally end up in the trash and she shows you simple ways to cut corners on your crafting supplies. This is about making collage paper, not a final work of art. I can't wait to get started trying out her ideas.
