Hi, my name is crispy asic I am an illustrator that focuses on hand lettering have done work for clients such as nike mcdonald's converse tumbler um creative hand lettering can bring a lot to project can add some personality and excitement is a project that I did for tumbler you can see the hand lettering really brings this project to life this is ah some packaging I did for charlie's clinchers this is all based on hand lettering there's a magazine cover for dig uh bmx magazine which is just all the content kind of smashed together in a fun, exciting way that really kind of jumps off the shelf and this is part of my daily drilling project that I've been doing for the past seven years, which has really helped me with my letter because when doing hand lettering, having a lot of practice and having fun with it is really important and self transfer form my career so in this class will talk about the basics and getting started with hand lettering so that maybe you could incorporate it into ...
your own projects we'll start with part one being the basics we'll talk about how to set up what you'll need we'll talk about specific lettering styles how to start with letter in basics we'll talk about creating style through shape inward connections and we'll talk about how to get creative with skip stripped littering and we'll talk about tightening up your composition in part two will get a little more creative. By talking about how to work hand lettering into an existing design. We'll talk about how to go from framework, toe letter, how to give letters, more emphasis and even how to make our letters a trip.
