Mixing Final Touches

Hi in this video. What I'm gonna do now is just do a few final touches to the mix in order to prepare it for the mastering process. What I can do is do my final touches and then export the mix as a single file. And then what I'd advise that you do is if you're not sending it off to a mastering engineer, then I would export it as a stereo file and master it on a different day in a new project file and I'll show you how to do that. So first of all, I'm just gonna finish off the mix. So I'm just gonna uh cycle this part of the mix here. OK? So what I'm gonna do is I'm actually gonna mute the vocals because Thomas is gonna have these sung on by a professional at some other point. So I'm gonna mute those and we're just going to make a mix of the instrumental for demo purposes. OK? So the mix is relatively well balanced at this point. Um Now, what I'm gonna do is just export the entire song in logic that's um bounce. And what I'm gonna do is make sure that I bounce it out at least as a 24 bi...

t file. Uh So that all of the quality of the audio is in there and save it somewhere. I'll find it. Ok, great. So now that exists as a single stereo mix file, I can come back another day when my ears are fresh and master it in a brand new session, which I'll show you how to do in the next video. See you then.
