Overview of Supplies
Today we are going to be doing photo transfers, which I love this technique. And I love teaching this technique cause it's kind of like that magic that everybody gets excited about. So we're gonna learn all about photo transfers today. We're gonna also do some basic stamp carving, which is another thing that I really like to dio. So I'm gonna teach you guys all about that. We're gonna play with some minor Decca posh, a little bit of doodling, but we're just gonna have a lot of fun learning some really fun, cool techniques that you can apply on so many different projects. So what we're gonna use is we have our baseboard. This is just, um, an ampersand board. It's kind of like a particle board. It's clay board, and it's just a really nice smooth surface toe work on. Um, you can also do this on a flat canvas if you want, or lots of other things. I just like this one, because when we do it and it's like, maybe somebody is first time, it's really nice, clean image when you're done. So it's ...
very exciting. Um, the other thing we have are just some copies and print outs of some vintage imagery. Vintage photos. So you guys will have those to use for your image transfers, and then you'll also have. These are some scams that I actually carved, and these are my own hand run doodles that you guys can use. Or if you want, you can draw your own and learn how Teoh make your own stamps. We are going to use some stamping rubber from speedball and some tools that are very sharp to Carver stamps. We've got inks and Jill Atos and scissors, and although that other good stuff we've got some clear Jess. So we're gonna use We've got Deco posh again cause I can't do a project without Deco posh evidently. And, um, we're just gonna have a lot of fun just making some fun artistic magic in this class. I like the class overall and it was nice to see a process with easy to find materials. It would be very useful for the students taking the class to have a list of materials needed. Clear Gesso, Decoupage and matte medium were mentioned... but which ones specifically and what brands? Also, I didn't see the use of watercolors (only gelatos). I wanted to see watercolors being used as mentioned in the class info.
