And what would happen would be the typesetter would take the lower case letters out of the italic font and mix them with the caps in the punctuation off whatever type face that he had to be working with at the time. It was until the 18 hundreds rub that full italic fonts really knows what earlier that really came in to be Adonis time. OK, it would have been all of the above.
