Basic Editing
now, as much as I love doing really intense, and it's, I really also enjoy some really quick basic at it. So the nice thing is that the IPhone has a really nice native editing app within their photo album. So I'm gonna go ahead and edit this alley shot with that so you go ahead and crop it to 45 That's the size I always post instagram, but I don't like these objects in their something. Go ahead and pull it out. Get past that. Those objects after the crap. There's a ton of filter options, so we've got original, vivid, warm and cool. I like the vivid cool. It looks really good with this orange with blue in the back, and it just got really nice, complementary colors. So go ahead and play around with those. And then we've got more options. So we've got light color. Black and white. Play around with the light could make it more bright, which would maybe like to do is a little dark in the alleyway. Maybe bring it back down a bit, gets, um, interesting artistic vibes. Whatever the case may be...
, you'll be able to edit the light go back into the options. Within that light, you can fix the brilliance, just the brightness in the brilliance of it all. There's more options. You've got the exposure. We've got highlights, which I always like to use because it helps assist us. When the backdrop let me actually fix the exposure and the back there and then shadows. So if you just want a dark in the shadows lighting him up a bit, we can lighten up. All those on could lighten up the sides of the alleyway. I believe that brightness frightening it up Contrast in Black Point, so you can decide on how black you want the blacks of in your image. So we've also got a few more options with color. Color will boost up the saturation, also get contrasts and then cast. So contrast ing the color just separate the colors a bit more casts that will just give you a different overcast of the day whether you want it to be a little bit more blue, a little bit more orange, and then we'll go ahead down to black and white. So black and white is obviously just gonna give us a black and white image. So within that you'll be able tow. Decide the intensity of the black and white. You'll be able to decide the neutral tones of it all, and then you'll also be able to decide tone, and also my favorite is adding green to an image. Just give it that film texture. And so those are just a few options you have within the actual editing tools. Inside there, there's a little dot, dot dot in a circle. If you tap on that, you'll be able to find a little bit more options where if you need to, you can mark up your image. So say, for instance, you have an image. Client has something that they want to edit on it, and they're gonna go ahead and maybe circle it. Or maybe even you see something in the image that you want them to take a look at more so you're going to circle it and hit done. Save it up. You've got image, got your circle and go ahead and click done, and you've got your edited image that you can send right along, and it's not too complicated. It's right within the photo albums app and The nice part is, is that after all of that, if you don't want to keep all that, go ahead and click. Revert. If you were happy with that that it simply go down back to that box of the Arab. Tap that and click copy, and it will copy the image for you so that you'll have that copied image. But you can also go back and hit Revert so that you have that original image.

Found it very interesting how Elise translated Photshop style art composition onto her mobile and how she scouted for images. It would have been good to have had a list of the apps she uses in the class information page. I had to go to her website to find them. I appreciate she mentioned them in her tutorial but a list would have been helpful too. Having been doing composite work on my iphone recently it was great to see another artist at work and their approach. All in all, very enjoyable class.

I think the class could have been longer with more detail about the editing. I am glad I purchased the class and can go back to watch again because she goes through the editing process very fast. Overall some good tips about shooting with your phone and worth $25 to me.

I cannot attest to the course content as I tuned out after and left after the 10the use of the irritatingly over-used word, by videomakers, "super". By god, get a thesaurus, people.
