ork with the variety of models and people that I have worked with and I get a chance toe fly out to different places I get a chance to do different things at different venues and this class was something I've been wanting to do based off of some previously previous experiences that I've had primarily believing not teaching because that's not necessarily a size space I would normally photograph in the studio that we have a new york city's twelve hundred square feet were not that size space and also in new york city and that's it's a luxury not everybody has that availability for twelve hundred, square feet. I grew up in florida, we do have space, but in new york city and getting apartments there six hundred square feet, five hundred square feet, four hundred square feet, three hundred square feet to get really small. My kitchen is literally here and that's it that's anyone a joke like the stone was this bag. So I feel like new york has had this, by the way, new york city saying it again to new york if I say new york is like a new yorker, you'll know why so people from new york generally maximize this war footage because we don't have a lot and getting a chance to kind of analyze situations and figure out what to do is important for me traveling out to different places. Sometimes I don't get to see what I'm going to photograph until I'm actually there. And I know a lot of you have the same situation no one no one takes a photo with her iphone and send it to you because if they do, it could be off from the actual space itself. You may think it's a twenty by twenty five, square foot space and it's really ten my tent and all all those factors come into play in a lot of photographers there, like I can't shoot in that small space to accommodate for the right lens that accommodate for the right camera. I don't have all these different things that I need to make this job happen, and I look at things kind of situational analysis, basically what I'm working with, what can I deduce? What can I make better? What can I take away and kind of figure out all the variables that go into making that she actually happened? You know, a lot of photographers have difficulty with that because they get overwhelmed. I can't do a small space there's no way that that's not happening, and they don't think about the steps to make it happen, the variables that they need or you can work on to make happen, so let's discuss that, I'm gonna take a seat, so I've had my life introduction, so this is some of the work that I get to do in new york city, lots of risque looking men with nice abs I wish I looked like that like one to my life and then I go back to eating carbs, at least for the rest of my life, but we'll go through and I'm also getting a chance so those of you that want to follow me out my username on instagram, facebook and basically everything is my name backwards and the only reason I did that two reasons actually one I'm a giant nerd that's also my game attack. So those of you that are on xbox or playstation that's it. And the second thing is, whoever bought jeff rohaas dot com did it twelve years ago, I'm I'm twenty seven now I was what, fifteen I didn't think about buying a website at fifteen, hence why it's gone, so I'm also getting a chance to write my first book going through the process of doing that now, it's a very, very fun process. Um, I get to talk about photographing man reason that there's three covers is because no one selected a cover as of yet, the book publishing company gets a chance to kind of select graphic designs and such. I'd love your guy's opinion at some points if you guys want a facebook, may or instagram me and let me know which one of these you like that sincerely appreciate it

I'm not sure why so many rip on this class. This is exactly what I needed to know (after I pulled my head out of my rear about wanting highly technical explanations). I do have an unusually small studio and really listening to him taught me loads of goodness, which I immediately applied and earned several awards by doing so. Thank you! Although a very calm video (which I also appreciated), it paved the way for deeper understanding of small locations and how to use them for great portraits.

I was at a shoot the other day, lugging in so much equipment, and found myself crawling on tables to get the shot I needed. Jeff's course shows exactly what you really need for effective and impressive portraits in small areas, a huge help and my next shoot will be much more efficient and powerful.

He had some good ideas like using corners, light modifiers that emit focused/directional light, and dealing with color casts. Showed some excellent fashion portraits shot in really small spaces. Wish he had gone more into shooting in a room with average ceiling height.
