Class Introduction
Welcome to Creativelive. I'm kinda Klosterman, your host for an f l R Lounge live Q and A with Pie Jirsa Pikey. RSA, as you know well, is the founder of SLR Lounge, which is an incredible photography community on line. He is also the founder and partner of Lin and the RSA Photography, which is Ah, boutique studio that does over 350 weddings per year, as well as portrait client commissions. And he is an incredible person. Teoh, learn from now, let me tell you about today because this is a very different type of event here on creativelive. You have the opportunity to ask pie anything. What we're gonna do is we're going to go through four different segments that are all about the four classes that pie has here on CREATIVELIVE. And so we're gonna start with photography 101 All your questions around photography 101 Now we're gonna go into lighting 101 Then we're going to go into lighting to a one, and then at the end, we're gonna open it up for questions about engagement and wedding photog...
raphy and general questions for pie. We have a model. Today we have all the gear and so your questions will actually be able to see pie go in action. So please help me. Welcome to the stage pie, Dear PSA. Thanks So welcome. Everybody gets to me peeking. I peeked once, just for fun. All right, so today is Q and A like Kennedy said, We want everybody's involvement. You guys here, you guys at home submit questions. Let us know, because this is all for you guys. And right now we're gonna jump into a little bit of photography. Wanna one? So every one of these courses that we have in the library or kind of designed for different purposes lighting are sorry photography. One. No one is designed for jumping into understanding your gear, learning how to take incredible images with just the stuff that you might already have. Which means that four foot on everyone a one we use sub $500 DSLR We literally went to Costco and picked up the rebel kit and the deed. I think like the Nikon 5100 of the time. Whatever was $500 DSLR we picked up kit lenses. We picked up $100 prime lenses, and we demonstrate how you can shape light with just simple things, like cardboard and pieces of cloth, which we have over there and things like that to create your images, reflectors, stuff that is easy to get. So that's what we're focusing on is getting you all comfortable with shooting manual, getting you out of any of the automated modes and understanding the camera. So any questions you have regarding that is perfect for this first segment. How do you get the most out of your DSLR?
