(bright ethereal music) All right, so I want to shoot this scene. We're kind of getting to blue hour now. I like how the moon is centered between the mountain on the left and this rock on the right. And I want to show a little bit, instead of just this, which is nice, but not enough on it's own, we're gonna have Joel walk out, and I want to capture a gap between his legs, just to show a little bit of separation, and kind of separate him out from that. It's nice that we have a clear background that he can go. I like the cloud down here just creating a really atmospheric shot. So Joel, let's get you walking out. So I have it on burst mode again. (camera clicking) That step there, perfect. That's perfect. So I just fired, spray and pray, but basically I was looking for that last kind of shot there. My white bounce is daylight. You can see shade, it's a bit kind of warm, but let's try that. I can adjust it in my room thankfully. Let's get you doing that one more time. (camera clicks) Per...
fect. So I'm gonna wait a bit more and (camera clicking) this is that scene I'm looking for. Nice. Now let's do it one more time. I'm gonna do it vertical, just to capture a bit more of the scene below. Okay, one more time. (camera clicking) Beautiful. Once again, just kind of firing off. Okay, so I really like that. It's just, we've been able to get quite a variety of photos up here. I'll show you what we captured. We can kind of go over it a little bit. Why I chose what, and we'll edit some of these photos as well. So in the meantime I think we're just gonna put the cameras away. Just take it in and then make our way back down, through the night, to the car and go have some dinner. (laughs) So, big takeaways from this, constantly change your lens, play around, get creative, and just look for different ways to separate your subject, if you have a subject, or isolate the landscape that you want to shoot, and just do what you can to just get creative, get those juices flowing and moving around and constantly looking for different angles. So, yeah, big takeaway from this is just have some fun with it, and just explore as much as you can with what you have. (calm guitar music) (footsteps plodding) (wind blowing) Whoo! This course was great--Taylor's approach and delivery of the topics is straightforward and extremely helpful. I am somewhat comfortable with my camera/settings and know some of the basic rules of photography, but his explanations help translate in how to use those tools to create YOUR own images no matter what you are trying to achieve. Can’t recommend this course enough to any aspiring landscape photographer.
