Series Hello & Introducing Benjamin Hardman
(wind whistling) That's it, a whole new workshop. This time we're in cold-ass, windy, beautiful Iceland, to do a workshop about my talented friend, Mr Benjamin Hardman. We picked this place, obviously, because it matches him so well. He moved from Australia to Iceland a few years ago, and in just, I think it was three years, built pretty much an empire here (laughing). A super strong brand, an established photographic style that brands want, I'm really happy for you to learn from him, because he is a natural born teacher. There's few people like him who are so good at teaching, I mean, I've seen him work for a few days now, and he's just born to make workshops, I'm so happy we're doing this. How many edit like Benjamin Hardman YouTube tutorials can there be? Last time we did a search, there's a few pages of it. So with this workshop, we can stop that, and have the proper way that he edits and shoots. Ben has tons of strengths as a photographer, as a creator, and even as a person, he'...
s really good fun, and you gotta see it in the workshop. I wanted to focus this workshop on these core strengths, which, for me, are I think, curation, how to build a brand that is visually recognized by a lot of people, and people wanna replicate. His knowledge of the craft, not just shooting, but editing. He's just a master at that. And I know my way around Lightroom and Photoshop quite a lot, but still, watching him work, I'm always mindblown. Mainly, you know it sounds pretty cheesy, but he's really passionate about what he does. Every week, he's just out there shooting, making it happen, and striving to make something that's different, really different work. I think that's all of us can learn from, is this desire to just make something that is unique. So without further ado, this is Benjamin Hardman, and welcome to his workshop.

Very Informative & Awe Inspiring Both Benjamin and Alex have played huge roles in my photographic style development over the years and it is great to hear first hand exactly what inspires and drives Ben to keep pushing his creative boundaries. Personally, I love his minimalist approach and it was super insightful to watch him explain how he developed that style and how he actively produces photographs in a cohesive manner. 10/10 recommend this workshop to anyone looking for a very unique and profound perspective with the intent of expanding your creative horizons.

Moving to Iceland now...? Loved this workshop! I really liked the way the modules are split up, and the way you watch Benjamin go out on location for a shot, then immediately sit down and watch his editing process for that specific shot. So much editing to learn too, since he doesn't use presets! The workbook is also super thorough, so printing it out allowed me to pay close attention and just add little notes here and there. The Iceland road guide is also SO helpful and in depth. Can't wait to use it. Also loved that Ben talked about printing your own work. Would be cool to maybe see something from Wildist in the future that goes even more into depth on that (calibrating your own printer, working with a print shop, dropship sites, etc.) Awesome course. Thanks, Hardman.

First Workshop The first workshop I have ever purchased. I've always been hesitant to invest in a workshop, however this went above and beyond my expectations. Fluid in progression, great insight and a super relaxed learning curve full of information. I feel this has prepared me to take my own personal photographic journey to the next level. Executed to perfection. Nice work guys! 10/10 recommended.
