Class Introduction
I'm gonna start with a story that I think you have all heard before. You ever go out and you're out shooting or you're at a camera club or you're something, and you talk to somebody, and you're talking about Photoshop or Lightroom, and they're like, I don't use Photoshop and Lightroom. I like to set it right in camera. You ever around somebody like that? Like, do you know anybody that you actually seriously, you go out shooting and they're like, yeah, I like to screw this up as much as possible in camera, just to give me something to do later on, 'cause I'm kinda bored with life and you know, I need some extra Photoshop work. Like, nobody does this stuff on purpose. The next time like, you know, I prefer to get it right in camera. Everybody prefers to get it right in camera. It's a silly thing to say. We prefer to do it. This class isn't about go out there and shoot and be like ah, screw it. I know I can fix it later. This class is about when those times happen that we can't change. We...
can't fix. It's mostly, I have some portrait stuff in here. This is mostly wildlife, travel, landscape. Those times when you're out traveling, whether you're with somebody, whether along, whatever it is, and because of timing, circumstances, itineraries, you get what you get. You can't control it. This is for those times like, if I go somewhere, if I go to Iceland, and I take a photo, and it's not the lighting I wanted, should I not be able to, if I know I can help get it there? Should I not be able to get the photo that I wanted? This is what this class is all about. I will give my disclaimer right up front. If you do not like heavy, heavy post processing, and Photoshop and Lightroom work, leave now. (audience laughing) Because, this class is not for you. That is my disclaimer. Everything after this, I'm just telling you, I have, I'll go all out on this stuff, because I think we can do some pretty cool stuff, okay? All right. We start small. We start low, and we will build up. We will build up to, you will see more brushes, and radial pins, and things flying into the photo than you can possibly keep track of.

Matt is a fantastic instructor who males it feel like a joy to learn. It was very interesting to see his take on how to fix uninteresting lighting. This course delivers on its promises and it's well worth the price.

This is a great class. Matt is a fabulous teacher who explains things very well and in a very likeable manner. With only using a few sliders and basic tools in Lightroom, Matt is able to totally transform an image. I have lots of old photos I didn't think it was worth doing any editing on....now I'm sure I can save quite a few!

Matt Kloskowski is funny, humble, and totally knows his stuff! He doesn't just show you how to use Lightroom to fix undesirable lighting conditions, he walks you through various ways to recognize and work around them in camera/on-location, to make your post-processing even better. I am so flipping glad that I took this class when I did! My shoot last night started a half hour later than I needed it to, and the planning and processing techniques I learned here totally saved it! In fact, this class, combined with Caroline Tran's film class and Blake Rudis' landscape class made the shoot into more than I was expecting, even though everything went wrong on-location! I can't wait to show off my finished image. Thank you Matt for an awesome class!
