An Introduction from Alex
(soothing music) This is it. We're in Yosemite for a whole new workshop, and, this time, I want to focus on a technique that, I think, is totally underrated, and that is time lapse photography. So, why time lapse? Well, my work focuses a lot on seasons on the changing in the weather and the light, and I find that sometimes photography can be a bit limiting and time lapse just allows me to capture things that photography just can't. It's during this fall in Montana that the idea for this workshop was born. I was seeing the trees change everyday color. They were going from green to orange, like really slowly, and I was just dying to capture that. So, I was like, "Got to make a time lapse workshop," because I think that as a photographer you need to be able to improve your skillset. You need to be able to be versatile, and always keep learning. So, I just see it as a new technique that needs to be in your skillset. So, to put it together, I just had a nice sit-down, and I was wondering ...
who's the best in the industry at time lapse? Who's one of the best? Who's somebody I know, and I've talked to before? And that's when the idea of the mighty Colin Delehanty was born, and I just called him up, and he was up for it. I convinced him to share all his tips and his tricks with you. (loud soothing music)

I have seen tons of timelapses, but there is no other timelapse film that touches my soul as much as Project Yosemite 1 I never forget the moment when I saw Project Yosemite for the first time! That moment I knew that that’s what I wanna DO! Colin is the reason that I bought my first DSLR! Thank You Alex for getting together with my hero and make this awesome idea happen!

Clear and concise workshop to understand the process of Time-lapse photography Being new to this aspect of photography, I found this workshop informative and directional. If I were to give a critique, it would be regarding equipment choice for the entry level bridging to pro-level for the introductory student. Otherwise, it lays a nice foundation to build from.
