Media Page: Overview
The very first page of Resolve is called the Media Page. And this is pretty much where you import and organize your media. Let's take a look. If you already have Resolve open you can go down to the lower right hand corner and click on the little house icon. That'll bring up your project manager. And this is where you make a new project. This is where you open old projects, import and export your different timelines, things like that. But what we're gonna do is right click anywhere in the empty space and select New Project. And generally when you make a new project it will open up in the edit page. But we're gonna get into that in a second. The first thing we're gonna do is go over to the very left hand icon which is our Media Page, and click on that to open up the Media Page interface. So, what is the big deal with the Media Page? Well, this is where we import media and we get it organized and we make sure that everything is kind of set before we even start our edit. This is also where...
we can adjust a lot of the details and notes about anything that we've imported. And it's also a great way to explore and kind of preview media that's on our system. This is a great page for anybody who really likes to stay organized, who really likes to, you know, you kind of note takers out there. You can kind of get as deep and detailed as you want with making sure everything is just so.

I'm glad to see the DaVinci Resolve courses have been added to Creative Live. Casey Faris does a great job with his teaching. In this course he clearly explains the layout of each page and shares example workflows for each. It's really good as an intro to Resolve.

Helpful class if you are interested in DaVinci Resolve. Casey Faris presents the information clearly and doesn't waste time. Looking forward to his Color Correction and Fusion classes.
