How to Create Your Online WorkSpace
working in an office these days is more and more of a choice with most companies. So let's take a minute and look at how zoom can streamline your workflow but still allow you to maximize your business results to drive your business forward. We're gonna start back in our meeting together and learn an easy way whether you're at home like I am here or or in your room or at a shared space that you can use zoom backgrounds and immersive you to number one de clutter your background. But number two use it intentionally to upscale your business message. Maybe it's to celebrate a partner that you're in or maybe it's to celebrate your customers or just brand your own background. Then the video camera here in the bottom left, you'll see a little arrow when I click on the arrow. And the third option is choose virtual background. You'll see that zoom does offer a few options and it's very easy by the way, you can click into those options and add your own. So you would go to this little plus sign ri...
ght here under the screen and add your own video or photo. And yes, I did say video. So let's play with a few of these here. If I upload an image, it will appear in this gallery and by simply selecting it, I can change the image that appears behind me so I can be in front of the Golden Gate bridge, I can be in this grass area or in front of the Northern Lights. And yes, they are moving. It's a video clip. We've even had some folks that do sales presentations put the recording of the presentation behind them and it plays in the loop as they're discussing it. So I don't need to take up time in the meeting to go through the presentation. So again, you can leverage this feature to your benefit to either celebrate your customers, celebrate your brand or just declutter your background like here, let me turn it off here and show you another way to do very much the same thing, but also to remove the idea of videoconferencing fatigue that we touched upon earlier in the lessons. So in the zoom meeting, we have the gallery view which you're all used to and up in the view in the top right corner here. You also have the option of speaker view which highlights the person talking. But we found in zoom by talking to hundreds and hundreds of customers that one of the reasons zoom fatigue or videoconferencing fatigue is a thing because they're staring at themselves on the screen. So there's two little features we can show you here to help minimize that, but also allow you to change the background again, why amplifying your space? Perhaps you have an office and there's a location that you're used to for meetings. We can go up to immersive views and when you have immersive use it's gonna take away that grid feeling and put you into an environment. So again, you can upload your own environment. You know, a lot of schools that we talked to in the past will upload their school environment. A lot of corporations will upload a boardroom that they're synonymous for or famous for. And this way it feels a little less stuffy in boxes and more welcoming. So if I go here, for instance, to this one here, the third one, you'll see, it's a kitchen setting. Perhaps I'm in pods and when I click on it, you'll see if my video is active. Like my one is, you know, actually take away my background and allow me to be anywhere on this scene. You can see how comfortable this feels already. As a matter of fact, we did a test with 20 folks on the line and when we put an emergency view on all of a sudden they started doing this. They're trying to see each other above themselves. Yet they realize they're at home in a physical space. So it does make a big difference for branding by using virtual backgrounds or immersive views
