Shoot: Money Shot & Siblings
So now we're gonna grab that money shot. We're just gonna do it. We're gonna get it over with. We want one of everybody looking at us. We wanna make sure we get that at the beginning of the shoot. They never have to look at you again after that, right? Okay, so I'm gonna have you... Actually let's have you pickup Anna, Trevor. And then have you pickup Little Miss. Okay, atta girl. Little Miss. (laughing) Open up her legs so that she's on your hip. Yeah. And then kind of get nice and close to each other, just like that. You guys are easy. Perfect. Okay. So everyone's gonna look at me, ready? Can you look this way? (camera clicking) Good job, guys. I'm used to being able to look and see my- (camera clicking) Now... (crowd laughing) Allie look at (laughs). Relax. Go like this (blowing raspberry) Okay, there. There we go. Okay, so now we can make this cute though and make it more exciting. We got it. There's the money shot, right? Now we have one to send to grandma. Now, squeeze each...
other. Big family sandwich, okay? Squeeze! Don't look at me. Look at the kids. Look at the girls, Marcy, turn your head towards them. There we go, perfect. (camera clicking) Good job, you guys. Daddy, you're wobbling. (girls laughing) Jiggly. (crowd laughing) Allie's like, I can't do this anymore. Okay, perfect. Alright. (laughing) That's awesome. Alright, sorry guys. We're gonna go back to the key again just so I can show- So I'm just showing some examples of the money shot. We just grab it. You just do it 'cause you have to. It takes like one second. That's easy. The pose stuff like that, that's no big deal. Right? Okay. So now we're gonna do siblings. Can you tell that they're losing interest? Maybe? A little bit? Like their ability, right? So this is why we do siblings right now, because we wanna get it over with. So Mom and Dad, you're out of here. You can kind of stand right there. Okay girls. You ready? How did you know what I was gonna have you do? I'm gonna pretend like I have- Allie, you ready? So it's like, I go around like this- No, no no you're good, you're good. Actually come stand right next to her. Stand right next to her. Yeah. Right there. Now pretend like I have glue, okay? (slurps) I'm gonna glue you to your sister. (tongue click) Like that. Put your hands like this. I like this. Alright girls. Ready? (camera clicks) Okay. Now look, can you look at each other? Can you guys look at each other? (camera clicks) Good Job! Okay let's sit down on our bottoms now. Criss cross apple sauce? Criss cross apple sauce, that works. I'm gonna look good at criss cross. (rolls tongue) Whoa! (rolls tongue) Now I want you to tell Allie a secret in her ear and say something that's gonna make her laugh. (giggling) Oh my god. You'd think I paid them to do this, I didn't, I swear. Okay. Okay. No more silliness. Now, can you give your sister a kiss? Me? Or her? You kiss her. Just wherever you want to. (camera clicks) Perfect. Okay. I know you see yourself there, right? Okay let's do one more. Let's do one more. Here's your head like this. Now you come close, look at me. Look at that. And I want you guys to freeze, like- Allie. Look at me. Allie. This way. Ready? Don't smile. Oh Don't smile. Ready? Allie! Look. Allie don't smile, okay put your mouth like this. (camera clicking) Can you see your eye in there? Can you see it? Mm mm. Ready? Boo! (laughs) Okay, give her a kiss on the cheek. (camera clicks) Perfect. Alright. Okay? You guys can stand up. You guys wanna stand up? Okay you know what you should do? Can you guys hold hands and spin around in a circle? Don't go to crazy though. Ready? Go. (camera clicks) Perfect! Alright, girls. You can take a break, okay? Good job. Okay. They're amazing. They're doing so good! Alright I'm gonna go back to my keynote again. Sorry, people. Okay. So siblings. So I do that at the beginning. Because now, we already have a money shot, a family shot, and we got siblings. I had to sneak my own in there. Those are my kids. But, I love to get siblings. And with siblings, same thing, I like to get some variety. I want them looking- kids looking at the camera is a little different than grownups looking at the camera, for some reason. Maybe that's just me but, I want one of all of them looking and then I like to get some interaction shots like we were doing with them so getting them to touch and talk, and be silly is super fun because you're capturing that little dynamic that's going on between the siblings.

is super knowledgable, yet down-to-earth and relatable. I love how he explains the exact gear he uses but also describes ways to accomplish the same look using DIY and less expensive alternatives. The segment where he demos a live shoot in multiple, difficult lighting situations is worth the cost of the class alone! Bonus: He's super funny. He could probably double as a comedian on the side, but I digress. This class was informative, funny, and very practical for any photographer that wants to increase their profit and expand their business into the professional world. He gives all his prices and workflows so you can get up and running in 2 days! :) Awesome class overall, and it's a great sequel to his professional headshot class (which I also bought and loved.)

I am totally in tears watching this, and think that every person going into Photography should watch these. She is a great teacher, and helps us to understand our "why" so much better. I also LOVE that she helps one feel confident with the non-perfect, (or so called) shots, Thank you so much for giving me more confidence to shot what I love and not worry about "rules!!". Best class I've taken I will recommend her to every group I am in!!!

Elena is a great presenter. Delivers information in a very fun and engaging way. This course would be good for a beginner photographer. She shares the basics, but unfortunately doesn't quite provide advice on the more tricky questions. She shares a lot about her current state of business (10 years in and making enough profit to afford hiring staff). This is great to know what to aim for, however, it would be more beneficial to hear more about HOW to get to this stage. The main idea that I took from this course is: outsource as many processes as you can. Elena doesn't have a very distinctive style (no offence, but there is a huge competition in the style and editing that she works with), I would love to hear her advice on how to win in such high competition, how to convince clients to choose you and pay higher price tag for an equal quality of work. This is a fairly inexpensive class, so I would recommend it to the beginners, but not to the more experienced photographers.
