Intro: Putting Your Maternity Plan into Action
Okay, so let's get back to it. In this section, I'm going to talk about putting your maternity plan into action. So we've already talked about the grand strategy, we've done the worksheets, we've done all the analysis, and we know in theory how to decide which stage you wanna move through, what to do in those stages, but now we're gonna apply it a bit more to your business and a bit more like the nuts and bolts. And just keep in mind that this is an ever evolving process, you may have a great plan, and then you feel the need to get child care earlier than you thought, or maybe you're just not quite ready. It's always gonna be an evaluation of how you're spending your time, energy, and money, and our end goal status is final revved fully back up, and you can get to that on any time course that you need. So just an enesy bit about babies, if you've never met one before, so developmentally the zero to three months old baby is often called the fourth trimester of life because evolutionaril...
y, babies are born too young. So because we're really smart, we have really big heads, and babies actually wouldn't be born if their heads got any bigger. So humans are born way earlier developmentally than most other primates or any other animals. So it means when you get a tiny zero to three month baby, they're still very, they're mostly just interested in feeding and snuggling because in some sense, they kind of weren't ready to be born yet. So this is why we hear 12 weeks kind of being the average, I mean I don't wanna say average, but you know, the normalish kind of leave time, is because somewhere around the three month mark is when babies start to do things that you would think of as baby-like. They start to kind of sit up, they start to react to you, they start to have some little needs and desires that aren't just eating. So keeping that in mind, that's really the only baby schooling I'm gonna do as we're talking about timelines. So the needs of a newborn are really completely different from the needs of an older baby.

Thank you for making such an important class!!! This is a topic we all really need to talk about openly and have some guidance on! I'm 29, recently married and went freelance last year because I knew I'd want flexibility when I started a family. My business has gained momentum recently and this will course be so important to have handy during the next few years when I start a family to help me maintain my business. Thank you, very excited!
