How To Get Paid
Yeah. All right. So in this module here, we're gonna keep it short and sweet. But we're going to talk about something that is very important. It's actually my favorite thing. It's probably gonna be yours too. And that is setting your Shopify store up so you can accept payments from your customers and of course, so you can get paid. Which is very fun. So to get to this section right here where you can start the setup, which should only take you about 10 minutes max. Um You come over here to the left hand side where the cog is at the bottom left. Sometimes this is easy to miss and you just click on settings. Now, when you click on settings, that's going to bring you here where you can go over general shipping files, your account permissions check out. You want to click right here where it says payments, so let's go ahead and click that now. Okay, now, when you get to this section here, um you got to choose how do you want to accept payments and how do you want to get paid? Right. So I pe...
rsonally use option number one that is Shopify payments power by stripe. It's very simple to set up. Uh, like I said, it takes about five minutes. You answer some basic questions and Shopify power by stripe will charge your customers credit cards and of course they will send you all of the money for the revenue and sales that you've generated. So if you want to use that option, you can just click that button. But um, from, from what I understand, depending on where you are in the world, this may or may not be available to you. I live in the United States. It's available there. So that's what I use now. Additionally, you've got Paypal. Alright, so the great thing about Paypal is it is universal. I mean, so many people all over the world, they use Paypal, they trust Paypal, it's a secure payment option and um, you know, you really can't lose with this. So Paypal is an option. All you have to do is just simply connect your Paypal account to your Shopify store by clicking the button over here that says edit and everything is pretty seamless set up. Right? So by the way, you can accept Paypal and you can accept um, other payment options as well. So sometimes it's good to give people both options. Would you rather pay with your credit card or would you rather pay with your Paypal account? Because different people have uh, you know, different preferences. Additionally, they have amazon pay down here. So you can allow your customers to make purchases using payment and shipping information stored in their amazon account. A lot of people use amazon so it's a great payment option to have and then of course they have other alternative payment methods. So you can accept payments from bit pay coin based go coin. Pretty crazy stuff right here. It's really cool. I mean they just have so many different ways that you can accept payments from your customers. Um And then you have manual payments so you can go in here and you can uh set all of these up based off of you know what you're comfortable with and what you want to do. Um And of course payment authorization, you can automatically capture payment for your orders. That's by default. I would leave it right there. Okay? And if you'd like to use Shopify payments um I'll just go and click in that very fast. So up here. If this is an option available to you, you can just simply hit complete account set up. Then it's gonna ask you for stuff like your business type. Um It'll ask you for your street address and all that good stuff. It will ask. Well since I'm in the U. S. Asked me for my social security number first and last name, date of birth, average order price. Um It's gonna ask us what our descriptor what we want a descriptor to be on people's statements. So when they purchase something they know that they purchased it from us. And then um of course a very important part at the bottom they're gonna ask for your banking details so they know where to send your money because when you process and order on Shopify right they capture the payment and then they send you the money for the sales and revenue that you've generated. So this is what I do. Either way it's all up to you. You got Paypal amazon payments. You can hook up to all sorts of different places, Shopify makes it simple so you can use whatever solution makes you happy. So go ahead, make sure you get set up with your payments and you can get started, you know, generating some revenue and of course, go ahead to the next video and we'll see you there. Mm.
