Selected Images and how to sell them
1 S so now we're left with these images that we love 2 andi let's look at some options of things we can do 3 with them now we this is this could've been well, 4 this was a three day course one teo so there's and 5 normally the way this would work as we walk in we 6 introduce we kind of slowly step through some of the 7 things on the wall, but the other option is to be 8 able to show some of the ways they could be presented 9 so when we're talking about, you know, kind of a standalone 10 image of an individual, we got some really sweet ones 11 like like, for instance, with lily, you know, this 12 is actually a bamboo, which is kind of a cool art 13 piece, but this could also be simply a chore board, 14 which is kind more lightweight that you would put 15 on your ford I couldn't get everything here that that's 16 printed in time, but at home I have a sampling of 17 all the things we'd move, so just to give you an idea 18 of sizing on dh, then we have for the family images 19 especially I...
'm thinking that really fun one of you 20 guys you know, I could do something like this yeah, 21 one of the reasons I love to be able to have a thing 22 in one place and I suggest two photographers that 23 you could do these meetings in some sort of location, 24 that's constant, even if it's a smallest little room 25 off the edge of your house, you be able to not have 26 to kind of pull in and out every time I still rather 27 you show product that not because when people see 28 it, it moves, but this gives people an idea of what 29 we're talking about. Most people have no idea what 30 sizes are like no idea, ondo having measured on the 31 screen is helpful. Some of these images, like, you 32 know what the really bright would just pop on a metal 33 like this, um, and then normally would also have framing 34 options I would show at trip ticks weighs that thing's 35 been going out together, but just give the idea this 36 is it eight by ten in terms of size and get that as 37 a floppy print, get gift prints, but those of the sizes 38 that we're talking about and I'm holding a baby ten, 39 of course, next twenty by thirty, we're talking about 40 it in the shed already tells me she loves this seems 41 juni and poultry, 42 no offense, ten 43 so the other thing I would say is so we had a lot 44 of images that you liked, that you weren't in the 45 love pile, but, you know, you definitely liked and 46 would want to do something with on the great thing 47 is we have a variety of albums we want to get a feel 48 for these I can show you similar to the look and feel 49 of these and I have fabric swatch card which shows 50 everything you would have layout that would be like 51 this we could have you know, kind of step through 52 it like this could be an opening these air just thrown 53 in here to give you an idea but we would take your 54 favorites and put them in and then just to show you 55 you be flipping through a book like this and these 56 would all be done inside and kind of ready to go and 57 as we're talking I already know which one's that you 58 would like here in the book I'll probably do something 59 like this one I know I like that one um I have maybe 60 this one 61 and so we could kind of switch this out and play with 62 it in a way that you like and we'll do that real time 63 but this would give you an idea of what a book could 64 be and these are all layouts for less albums that 65 you could port into select um I think it's great to 66 to make that distinction what's going to go on the 67 wall and then also in a book yes and so we would talk 68 about you know one by one by one what we're gonna 69 do with all of these we had more time and then we 70 would go into the book and you would be able to physically 71 see it so you can see the layout you khun tell me 72 real time if you'd like to swap it you say okay that's 73 a great layout but you know what instead of that one 74 here can you do this one let's scratch it down a bit 75 yes that's how I'd like it designed that'd be perfect 76 on dh then we can also talk about rooms before she 77 shows up I'm asking her to send me a couple snap from 78 her mobile film of her living room a couple photos 79 to email them in so we have him on file we would be 80 able to open up a bedroom and then be able to take 81 something that she loves and if she says okay that's 82 the image I want how do I get that to be on my wall 83 weaken say ok, this is the exact size of your room 84 to suspect this is what this size would look like 85 a twenty for by thirty or from the case might be this 86 is it larger? I would like it toe have sort of matting 87 or framing options around it so let's say it's going 88 to be a 89 that's called a gold small frame around it but I also 90 wanted to definitely be double matted oh sorry gotta 91 pop in here to get ah say 92 what you think what's what would would be what's a 93 size that kind of makes sense to you right now as 94 far as matting goes the ads in terms of the actual 95 print oh, I would say perhaps so great at number yeah, 96 so maybe give me some ideas twenty five thirty or 97 and by the way she also will have a priceless in front 98 of her with a booklet we've talked about the sizes 99 as we're picking through them on dh by the time we're 100 at this actually looking at the wall you've already 101 you sent me some ideas of the inside of your home 102 so we'll be able to see real time what it looks like 103 but you might look at this okay, so that's that would 104 be a twenty by twenty four president. You okay that'll 105 give you a field for that? How would that fit in your 106 home? That would be fabulous. I love her 107 and then we would be able to go through it all on 108 dh then as after we go through, we look at the products 109 we look at the book really time layout the book if 110 we want on dh you can even say we'd look at the swatch 111 colors is already the fabrics that suits you more 112 than the soft linen theater then there's n still with 113 the texture yes and this is just nice to touch this 114 would get ruined with water at my house, okay, that's 115 good to know you know, on dh then so you think we 116 can kind of what I don't say is do you think you might 117 like an album? I said I'd love for you, teo, check 118 these out and this is this is how this would look 119 all these likes we have this is how it would lay out 120 and I proceed from a place of I truly believe that 121 she'd love one of these I truly believe that she'd 122 love these images and I know for in for myself I have 123 these albums at me a lot of kids all the time we were 124 talking about yesterday, our daughter was saying how 125 she has her album and flips through it all the time 126 it becomes something that lives in your home and really 127 holds these memories and I'm going to come at it from 128 that place with her because I truly feel that way 129 and I have a very difficult time trying to get anybody 130 excited about anything unless I truly have that same 131 level enthusiasm myself, so I have it and express 132 it and then we get to the point where we can get it 133 then she's starting from why wouldn't I want these 134 albums? You know, which is really different from do 135 you think you might want an album to be 136 a very different feel

Thank yo Tamara Lackey and Creative Live for such an amazing course. Every tool that is needed to maintain a successful business is in this course. Tamara's appreciation for love and family are so apparent in her style of interaction with people and methods of photographing them. In this class she shares everything from the basics of connecting with your clients to the importance of in person sales sessions and how to do them without being uncomfortable. I love Tamara's energy and sense of humor. She really emphasizes how important it is to be self confident and love what you do. This class is amazing. I can barely sit still through a movie these days, but I was entranced through 3 consecutive days of highly valuable information. I am thankful to have this class in my CL library. I am sure I will refer to it often.

Thank you! Thank you for bringing Tamara back to Creative Live! She is one of my favorite teachers! She has a bubbly effervescence as she teaches. I like her teaching style and never tire of her message in photography. Tamara has a way of working with her models/ clients that makes you want to just jump through the screen to participate in the process! Her portrait stories share her zest for life. She has great business ideas as well as for life and family. A truly balanced instructor for the beginning photog as well as a seasoned professional. Refreshing concepts about how to deal with challenging situations with lighting, posing, and interaction with her families. It's hard to pick a favorite section - the entire class was just great! A wonderful resource for your library to refer back to time and again. Keep up the great work Tamara. You inspire me to get out and shoot!

What can I say- it's Tamara Lackey, so of course it was AMAZING! I learned so much, about relationships, self awareness, lighting, portraiture, posing, gear, marketing, products, I could just go on and on. Tamara has an incredible ability to truly connect with her clients (and her students)- and she taught us how to do it! I admire Tamara on so many levels and I appreciate how much of herself and her own business practices she was willing to share. Her new organization Beautiful Together is inspiring. I will be watching this course over and over. Thank you Tamara Lackey and thank you CreativeLive.
