Branding Intro
Hi, I'm brian Schmidt, a former Apple and Nike designer. Working as a multi platform creative director. I've worked extensively for the last 16 years in design with a focus on innovation and art for major brands. Branding is central to product creation and launches through this practice. I've partnered with many talented artists and worked on designing and branding products, creating advertising campaigns, digital experiences, retail spaces and interactive installations. Besides working in house with the teams at Apple and Nike brands I've worked with have included Google Microsoft, GoPro Sirius, XM, Tommy Hilfiger, Ebay and many startups. This branding course will teach you how to understand the spirit of a brand and how to create design programs that instill this feeling into all consumer touchpoints as a brand identity system. mindshare through design. I recommend that you have at least some experience working with Adobe creative Cloud before taking this course. Once you've taken this class, you'll understand how to create a full identity system for a brand. This is a complete visual world that a brand requires to create communication coming from the spirit of the company. This brand image making usually starts with a symbol or logo type that represents the brand but extends to typography, color photography, pattern, verbal communication and all consumer touch points of the brand. Over this course, you'll understand how to use these elements together to have all aspects of the brand, working in unison for the most impact. In addition to relevant examples, I'll also share a recent project that I've completed which can shed light on the entire process from brief to ideation, Creative Concept NG and launch to creating an entirely new branding program. I'll be doing an overview of branding, touching on the key components in a larger program to illustrate what you can achieve in your branding projects for specific skills, like creating a brand's logo or doing a photo shoot.
