Why 3-Point Perspective Doesn't Work
but we have different perspective use to let's cover them quickly. We have three point perspective in a three point perspective. Now we have a different set up. We have a vanishing point. All these lines that are parallel to each other go to a vanishing point. They converge into a point on that would be in the horizon line. Then we have another vanishing point. Um, I should have used green here to follow the same example. Um, but all these lines that are parallel to each other go to another vanishing point. But they are parallel to each other, and that's the main point. That means they converge to a single point in the scene. All right, on these on three point perspective, vertical lines are not vertical, and this is more difficult to dio and we will not cover it in this class just because of the technical complexities. The vertical lines also converted into a different vanishing point. You see, over here, going to the left, going to the right, going to the bottom. And you see, I place...
d these two figures over here. Then you would have Teoh whenever you drawn object or a person in the scene. The person, if it is close, he's close to us. It would be bigger. He would be bigger if it is further in the drawing, he would have to be small. But you always have to scale your persons big or small to fit in the perspective. This is something that we do not dio on isometric because all the figures are the same. Okay, No, this is another three point perspective, and you would be like, Well, what's the difference between this to you? See this person installer? It's not because he took extra vitamins when he was growing up is because on where we are standing, you know, if I have photographers in the audience, you would know that the photographs are very different. Whether you are standing up for your crouching down right, if you're crouching down your horizon, Line remembers where your eyes are. If you're on top of a ladder, looking down, kind of floating, you're a bird looking down the horizon line. Actually, you're looking straight. The horizon line is very tall, so you always have to figure out tall or small, so these three lines would converge into a vanishing point, and now I will make an effort of using the same colors for this one. I'll have vertical lines. Are all these lines that are parallel to each other? Also converge to a vanishing point. All right, Same with same now talking off a bird's eye view. This has said true Birdseye via with three points. Um and then we also have the vertical points, right? So let's see three point perspective. I am floating. I am dreaming. I am above my space looking down, but vertical, not vertical. But we have the vanishing points on the left going to the left and then we have this line's going to the right. You see what I'm getting at? We are comparing apples with apples, but we have already four different varieties and we have this in the package so you can practice at home. Um, you would just have to follow with the same colors and see where they different horizon lines are. Where am I getting at this when you draw this is just to show you what not to dio

It's difficult to find a class like this -- but that's exactly why it may be best to start with some sort of quick foundation in perspective drawing. This class puts together the process at a level that is not easily available outside of formal study and while it's not difficult, it is involved.

Creative LIve Why don't you re-do this class! Its a great subject.....get a new camera operator, who knows the concept of learning from watching.
