Challenge #7: Collage Portrait
everybody. I'm Lindsay Adler, and this creative photo challenge is to create a photo collage. Now, you can do it in photo shop, but we're going to do it by hand. For this challenge, you're going to need to gather a few materials. First, you're going to need several different prints of your subject at different angles or different crops. Then you're going to need a piece of mat board. And finally, you're going to need glue to attach the prince to that Matt board for this photo collage actually started with a really simple portrait shoot. I just use window light and a white background. But during that portrait shoot, I tried a lot of different poses in a lot of different angles to give me variety when I put my Clash together next, I printed out several prints, and in this example, it's just different crops and a couple different angles. And I was printing it on my canon desktop printer on a luster paper. So now what I'm going to do is actually tear out the base photo. This is going to be...
my main shot, and then I'm gonna take pieces from the other shots and collage them on top. So here is my base shop for the portrait. The next thing that I'm going to dio I'm gonna take this shot, and I'm gonna just take out a piece of her eye to collage it on top. Okay, so there's the eyeball for this shot. I want to grab the fingers and the lips, try clutching that on top, all right. Having a little bit offset for some interest. And then for the last print here, I'm going to just grab right around her lips. So it gives me several layers. Pretty good. I'm going a little closer, So try something kind of like that. So once I figure out my composition, I'm going to just simply glue it down, move things around till I find just the perfect combination of elements. Now it's time for you to share your creative photo collage. You can use the hashtag creative photo challenge and you can join our Facebook group. If you'd like to get these challenges. Very fast class full of great ideas! My only question is how did she edit the silhouette to look like that at the end? I recommend this class if you're looking for some fun inspiration!
