Live Shoot: Mom With Newborn Posing In Clients Home

Now I'd say dad you're out so I got that fun great natural light simple what did what did we need here? Nothing mom doesn't even have to be wearing a dress most of the time I'll just wrap the top of them I'll just bring extra cheesecloth and bring a stretch rap and just wrap them my clients know that I will prepare them and they tell me all the time and we know that you have clothing that you'll have everything and we just need to show up and I'm a a big believer in that where I'll just bring things and many times the clients look at me like I'm not but that's not happening and I just just just trust me let's just try something and sometimes I do rap like four times because they're lactating and milk is coming out and they're dripping and they'll say I'm tripping all of your clothes it's okay sticking some breast pads and let's just wrap it and work accordingly okay, so now this is an easy transition because I want you to slide a little bit more this way and then now you're going to ta...

ke this arm you're gonna wrap around maybe oh yes there she is again that's ok that's ok that's ok yeah good, good, good, good, good because here's what I would love is I would love now here's the thing is babies usually they sense mama bear's here and there like this's who's taking care of me this is who's feeding me and so you know that's why in a home session I'll do mom right away whereas in a studio session I will you know what it was that big white one in the back no it's like a white light and airy no all right, well let me test why we're doing this because I think what if oh okay what if you lay your head on baby yeah oh, I got it we got it beautiful and I want your head more this way oh, gorgeous limit love it just like that and I'm actually going toe come and shoot down this way so I think if we put the reflector here yeah with the dress good and love it so what I'm going to dio okay, so let me shoo here oh my gosh you give me a smile camp tin can hey, he loves his mama ah, he loves your mama you love your mama, huh? This one hand is killing with and I was just kind of shoot some different angles because they're there and they're q and just try going this way that way make sure you get different angles love it now look right up at me and now go a little more yeah, lift up a little bit more. Yeah, good, beautiful, love it. Can you lean over and give him a kiss like, right here? Perfect, I love it. Oh, good, yes, and lovett, look how good she looks, so we have baby smiling on there. Now, that foot does bother me from that angle, but that the foot's gone. I love that so clean and simple, they're more. Is there one with smiling, so cute? I don't know, take a while, so we're going to get that in here. Oh, I like that one. That's, fun, good job, mom.

I really liked this course. As someone new to newborn photography, I learned so much valuable information such as using Aquaphor - which has saved me a ton of time editing, session flow, as well as not getting overwhelmed with having a thousand props. I didn't really find using natural light to work so well during my first newborn session after these videos. It offered some beautiful lighting and was much more soothing for the baby than having flashing lights, but once that appointment is booked, relying on natural light to be there the day of can be so nerve racking. Also, I didn't like how high I had to have my ISO using natural light through windows. However, I will say that if there are big windows and lots of light coming in, I will use it, but I would recommend planning for that not working out for you. Thank you so much, Ana, for a great class. I grew so much because of your guidance!

Fabulous, great hands on training. Concrete examples of what works and what doesn't. Excellent instructor I will look for more classes from Ana. Thanks.
