Lesson Info
Location and Account Settings
for any business owner or freelancer that either sells or stores inventory from multiple locations. The location settings allows you to set up inventory tracking and fulfillment based on location. By the end of this lesson you will be able to set up your basic account and location settings to best serve your e commerce needs. The number of locations available to you will of course depend on the Shopify pricing plan that you are subscribed to for the basic plan, you can have up to four locations. The standard Shopify plan will allow you to have five locations and the advanced plan will allow you to have up to eight. Now let's move to account settings which are accessible by the account owner only. The account settings will allow you to change your plan or building cycle, set up staff accounts, pause or clothes or even sell your store. It's important to keep in mind that even if your staff members have accounts on your store, they may not have access to everything. As some of the things ...
can only be changed by the store owner account. Many professionals may choose to get a Shopify partners some available on the fiber platform to help them build and grow their e commerce business. This could range from a designer, a developer, a marketer or an affiliate when giving access to these professionals keep in mind what kind of tasks you would like them to work on and whether a standard staff account is sufficient for their access needs Shopify partners can gain access to your store through the Shopify partner dashboard available at partners dot Shopify dot com. This is how official partners can access your store as collaborators without taking away any of your limited staff member seats. This is a tip that most people can't find anywhere else. The Shopify partner ecosystem is important for scaling your business within Shopify. So getting the right person for your task at hand is imperative. Whenever I hire a Shopify partner on fiber, I usually ask them a few questions to see how involved they are in the Shopify partner ecosystem. If the seller is familiar with Shopify extensive partnership program, it means that they are more than likely to be on top of the cutting edge technology that is constantly evolving on Shopify. Here are some other ways to find the right person for your business. If you are interested in an agency look for their social proof, do they have a website, ask for sites they've built, read the reviews on the fiber platform to see real customer reviews, ask how big their agency is, request a consultation call with them to gain more perspective into their work and see if they align with your business goals. Some questions that you can ask include how do you keep up to date with the latest Shopify trends and additions? What do you know about the partner ecosystem? Do you know how to become a collaborator on my store sellers that have gone above and beyond by attending international and official Shopify partner conferences such as Shopify unite and Shopify Pursuit are usually ahead of the game and therefore tend to perform better than others. This is also because these sellers have usually gone out of their way to know the upcoming features on the Shopify platform and the releases that can help you prepare accordingly. Our next section will tackle third party payment providers, gift card options and you're building settings. This next lesson will be jam packed with details, so go ahead, stretch your legs for a minute, grab a snack or drink of your choice and get settled in.
