Writing Drums and Bass Part Introduction

Hello and welcome to this section all about writing drums and bass parts. So on screen, I'm gonna show you how I write drum parts with Ultra Beat. Ultra Beat's fantastic for quickly throwing in drum parts using the step sequencer and making some really interesting drum beats. I'm then going to show you how I use the drummer instrument to follow Ultra Beat and to create some counter rhythms on top of that as well. I'm then going to show you the bass section. So how I write bass parts, how to lock in with the drum parts and the drums and bass really is the fundamentals for actually creating any song. If you haven't got the beats sorted, you haven't got the bass sorted. If you want to make electronic music, it's not really going to work. I recommend starting off with the bass and the drums. There is other methods. You can of course start off with the melody. You can of course start off with a chord progression, but this is the way I like to do it. Of course, experiment, use what I tell yo...

u make notes and then actually go into logic pro and start writing. There's no point watching these videos if you're not actually going to take action. So watch these lectures coming up, take action and be ready for the assignment.
