What another incredible day carry? Like you said, I could believe that earlier conversation what names and everything was just today just way have we have had a full two days if we want to look back and look at all that was looking at all of the topics we've covered, we started yesterday talking about the fears are talking about intentions, about creating the daily life that you I want talk, but but not just talking about it but the house defining your target customers. We covered business naming this morning, which is hugely emotional, of course for some running about us overcoming those marketing fears and had an amazing segment from marlo here in our studio audience who taught us all how to do d I y photography for your small objects has been jammed, impact and people have been loving it again, loving the the the engagement that we're seeing on twitter for this class I was just thinking to myself carry you should make a little class on how to use twitter to engage with people on scr...
een of life may be a small business, but in any case of shar signs, who is at texas pain relief who's been with us the whole time saying the value of our product is not a reflection of our personal value that really so true really resonated with her? Yeah that's important important stuff and michelle at expressions by m said this course has really confirmed for me that the ideas I had worked good ideas and valid now it's time to action and birth the vision yes get time to birth the video I like that I just I feel like carrie you've given people like a road map a blueprint a workbook you know especially if you're just trying to break into this interest tree trying to break into a craft business or book thank vanna white over here I just I think that people are you have the opportunity during this workshop to learn from all of kerry's mistakes so many people do I mean you learn from people's mistakes let her make let's let her make the mistakes for you do it yeah literally no learning from her you're also learning from her successes you're learning from her experience and her friends and your friends successes on your friend's experience I mean these people are in this industry we're learning from your career and you've given us this road map and it's all laid out there for you you just have to follow it. So thank you for giving that to everyone you're welcome was very nice of you so it's not easy to start out and it is overwhelming and they're so you know you feel like the the industry is huge and there's so many things to do and we're just setting up all the issues and knocking them down so you guys if you want to own this course and have it as part of your library and have it as part of your business so that you can refer to it on a regular basis we have a an option for you so like we have told you when you're watching this course well it's live it is free to watch and you kind of take it out for dr take it out for a spin see if it's something that you want to own and the reason that you want to own this is for just this reason because you are making a road map to your business and hearing in three days time is not the same thing as setting up your business so you can actually own this and you can have the outline and you can have everything that she's taught us and we'll be teaching us tomorrow so all of that is ninety nine dollars which is reasonable if you purchase it while we're alive it is even more reasonable because it is fifty nine dollars so you guys are on the fence just think about it you can think about it tonight you can think about tomorrow and then you need to make a decision if you want to get out the discounted price so it does include a lot of bonus materials and includes this incredible workbook that we've talked about and the three days of video is broken down into segments, so I think that is very cool and we will be back tomorrow with even mohr carrie chapman, which is very exciting, I think that is it for today? They were talking about let's talk about tomorrow to ask you, I think I forgot to ask you about your way from marlise the other day, and we will be talking about websites, blog's and social media, and we're going to tie that all that can do are marketing, and I'm pretty excited about that because what we've been doing slowly over these two days, and what will continue to do is actually be building a marketing plan, and all of that comes from the various things that that we've been talking about this whole time. So tomorrow we are doing websites, blog's and social media, we have two special guests again, we have clouding helmet is going tio skype in with us and talk to us about her business as an illustrator, a writer, she's licensed her products and designs before is taking her business in a new, fun, interesting direction, and we're also going to learn a lot about publicity and working with the media, local media, print, media, online media, all that kind of good stuff that you need to learn, and then we're going to do some business brainstorming we're going to work on our foundations a little bit I'm going to be asking the online audience to throw any kind of business question or situation that they have at me and we're going to solve problems, figure out how to expand our product lines and make sure that we're clear on our intentions and we're hopefully going to declare what our intentions are for the next six months of the year because we're at the midpoint of two thousand fourteen and this course I mean I know that's kind of like mind blowing to me like it's so crazy to think that the years is half over but I want to know what people's intentions are for to reach the end of the year what are you going to do to improve your handmade business or to start your hand, make business or to revamp it if you want tio so tomorrow's could be really busy so everybody get a lot of sleep come fresh faced and ready ready to looking forward in there yes meeting very cool. All right, well before we go I just want to thank our special guest today. Marlowe, thank you so much again. Yes, marlowe thank you to betty and will from betsy and I think that way we'll see you tomorrow at nine a m pacific time same place we'll see that then with more carrie chapman

Kari Chapin's course, Start a Handmade Business, was a game-changer for me. Her content was presented in such an accessible, engaging, easy-to-digest, and oftentimes hilarious way. At the same time, she did not sugar-coat things. Having a handmade business is a job and requires work. I love that she emphasized that fact. Not only did she give the nut and bolts of how to start a handmade business but spent a lot of time on the emotional component of being an artist trying to sell her work. Her guests (Skype and in-studio) were well-chosen and showed the rapport she has with her community. This showed that she lives what she teaches. The interaction with the studio audience and online community was integral to the course because it showed real-life examples of business owners at varying stages in their career. (I was so lucky to be one of the studio audience members. I will forever be grateful for this opportunity!) This class was a comprehensive look at handmade businesses that everyone from fledgling businesses to more established businesses can benefit from. I highly recommend this course! Thank you Kari for sharing your mind-blowing wisdom and warm and fuzzy heart with us! And thank you CreativeLive for having this awesome resource for the creative community! --Cathy Pascual, catshycrafts.com

Well, it's been a few days since the course and I am still pumped. Kari said a few things in particular that I needed to hear and I'm so grateful for that. I have been involved in the facebook group she put together and I am so happy about that. It's an awesome resource and my fellow creatives have been very helpful and encouraging. I totally recommend this course to any creative entrepreneur at any stage in their journey. Plus she is cute, funny and has just the right amount of snarkiness. I so enjoyed it!

I loved this course with Kari Chapin! Her wealth of information delivered with such an honest and funny voice was refreshing and inspiring. I have accomplished things in the last few days that have languished on my to-do list for a year or more, largely due to this class. Kari is very down-to-earth and just plain adorable! I highly recommend this course for anyone creative who has or wants to have their own business.
