Take a Break
throughout these courses, we've spent our time discussing what to do in the studio and how to do it. But when you're self employed, it's also important to know when to take a break or simply go for a walk, voiceover artists even more than any other home business, spend a lot of time in closed areas because it makes great sound. But we also must take a break and get some sun in order to stay healthy and keep our creativity flowing. I recommend people who work for themselves must have a hobby. Mine is cooking, I love to cook and create dishes in the kitchen. The reason we need a hobby is because when we work for someone, they tell us where to go and when, but when we work at home, our jobs live with us. So we want to be sure we own our business and our business does not own us. This will keep you excited to do business for years, which is perfect because voiceover is something you can do at any age or even for the rest of your life, so make sure to take some breaks or even stop working i...
f you've set a schedule for yourself. The thing about self employment is that the work will always be there. So I encourage you to be satisfied with work well done and not try to build a mountain every day, take the dog for a walk, get some sun, read a motivational book or if you're a true busy body like me, the best form of relaxation for me is to watch a movie, make sure your home continues to be your home and that your home office is an enjoyable creative outlet that offers you a new stream of income. Congratulations on completing this program, and I look forward to seeing you on fiber.
