Let's take a look at calls to action so your call to action is on instruction they're giving to your reader to tell them what to do next so when they open your email, you have some kind of overarching goal something that you want them to to um you're going to focus on the benefits of doing that for example, their offer expire soon so there's some urgency there they can save money there's a discount? Why not try it? You know why not sort of give it a go take a look so she was one thing that can be your call to action I you know, I think my most my newsletters, my call to action is really just look at those patterns and e books and supplies, so I have those four little boxes but you khun choose one thing too. When I comes the black friday, I really do have just that one called action to go shopping so my black friday email is different from a normal email. 'm very clear called act shin, but remember that you're in this for the long haul so you don't have to sell that all the things you have on offer every week you can sell just one thing that week focus on one product um, and overtime include those other things so let's, take a look at p s so believe it or not, the p s of the first thing most people read have you ever gotten a letter from somebody that had a p s or, you know, even a letter asking you for a donation or something like that? Even a marketing sort of letter, but has a p s when you open the letter like a real letter of paper letter, you often scroll down, the first thing your eyes do is look at that p s I don't know why it's like we want to know first what the person forgot to include, right? But there I mean, this is like a thing people are really like a p s I love a p s, and I think he s is a really important I think they're really overlooked. So since most people look at it a first, think about it, I really highly recommend including a ps in your in your newsletter on dh people who write like fundraising emails, my husband's in fundraising, they always include a p s because there's like scientific proof that that people love the ps, and often if I look at this clicks, the ps click is the one that gets the most clicks it's like more than the called action people just so so couple things what do you put in your ps thiss haleigh's little decisions right? So either you can repeat what is elsewhere or even better you can add a little bit of information like you can add sort of ah suggestion that there's some urgency you can added an additional nugget and additional link a little bit of additional information you know, definitely treated as something that like you left out I think in mind that we just saw recently I said I had just turned forty and bought a necklace from meghan ahmen you know, I don't know I haven't talked to her, but I think probably quite a few people clicked over to that even if they just want to see what I bought right this because they're curious like an a voyeuristic sort of why, but they want to know what does it look like so that p s link is not don't waste that use it for something good and if you are having a sale like on black friday, my email p s will be on urgency on discount reminder for sure, but other times it's just an additional nugget of information and I honestly don't think I've ever seen the email newsletter besides mind that has a p s so yeah include it it's a good one I love it, I love it

Abby Glassengber's class is a great tool for beginners. Abby encourages us to focus on the goal of our newsletter, and to incorporate aspects of newsletters we enjoy into our own writing. A particularly useful section of the course was the description of different content types that work well for e-mail marketing. Those of us who dislike "salesy" content are given the revelation that our newsletters are a gift to our most dedicated fans. With this in mind, putting together newsletters becomes a more thoughtful and fun process.

A down to earth and honest voice. I found this quite relaxing and a really nice class to get rid of those fears of email marketing. I love how the audience can participate and questions have been asked.
