So holiday sales game plan we're leading up to the holidays it's august now whenever time of year you might watch this class that's not what you like to get started I didn't have a block I didn't have a newsletter for eight years I blogged for eight years without a newsletter and then I started one you can start wherever you are I mean it's okay to start is have a fresh beginning and we're going to get ready for the holidays so would grow the list now it'll be healthy and waiting for you by the time december comes and that's that's the key s o going into this holiday here I was talking to and would whose case study we saw earlier and she was saying that this is her first holiday season with the newsletter so she's had that newsletter now for eight months, but by then it'll be like ten months with the newsletter and she's really excited to see what's gonna happen ten months in with a real newsletter that set you up for so much success it's really that's when it really pays off you know ...
black friday it's going to really pays off cybermonday all that stuff that it really is amazing as faras sales is concerned, but I really think it pays off generally every week both in sales and relationships, so developing that holiday game plan starting now um do your market research work on your template uh to some content types that you think might work for you you can always change it later change it up as time goes by and start building your list implement a couple of those lists building techniques doesn't have to be all of them just pick a couple that seemed like they'll work for you and get started we didn't talk about pop ups of this building but just every go back tio pop ups so I do have a pop up now on my fate and I got to tell you it is incredibly effective so they read all the time people say it's so effective it is effective twice double the number of sign ups and every day since I put the pop up on there so I do recommend it I think it's okay to have a flight pop up I use hello bar which is free it's life in from the side and easy to close um sumo me is another good pop up service if you aboard pressed to mow me s u m o m e sumo me also free and you can use their pop up services well a little smarter so it won't has cookies so it will not continue to show people where is hell of ours doesn't at least everyone doesn't have cookies so it just continually slides out which can be annoying but it's so effective it really is and the reason that I started using the pop up was because I was on somebody's block who I visit all the time never notice issued an email newsletter and I'm like email newsletter person so I don't know how I missed it I never noticed but I was on there and this thing's late in it was like center for my name better and I was like, oh, totally fine and then after I did it I was like that was so nice like it was easy and you know and I was like I needed so I that's why I did it I just you know and the thing also with all of this experiment so you put it on for a week and then nothing happens so you take it off like it's nothing you don't have to commit its the web's try it, put it on, try it if you don't like it put on different one see if you like you know see if people start e mailing you and they hate it take it off um you know all this stuff is experimental. Just try it. See what you have time for you could always change things change your strategy later so that's that's kind of get started now and develop and nurture strong relationships with your best fans that's the goal so that you go into the holiday season voice for success thank you could do it but I'm confident it's gonna happen well thank you so so much abby I just I feel like what I'm seeing from people at home and in the room here how did you how do you guys feel from this morning when we were all scared you all have scared looks hungry tio now I think I've heard doable steel ball anybody else yeah yeah so clear and concise just yet seems like there's a complete method on dh it sounded fantastic I mean all the ideas are just amazing there's so many ideas that I had never thought up so thank you I'm so glad that's great it's like it was simple it's very simple we expected to be called a locksmith was very simple easy to follow that scott I'm so far yeah it does he say it doesn't have to be it can be complicated totally doesn't have today yeah when I love how men said I'm excited to go home to my computer way again abbi where everybody can find you and follow you sign up for your newsletter sign up for your podcast sure s o my fate is while she naps dot com and everything is there including these that our sign up in the podcast and um ten years for the archives of block postal they don't go back too far get scary back there but but, yeah, lots of helpful information for creative entrepreneurs and tutorials and patterns for making stuffed animals and dolls, which is what I like to make on there's links there to my books and e books and all the rest of the the need stuff. Abby Glassengber's class is a great tool for beginners. Abby encourages us to focus on the goal of our newsletter, and to incorporate aspects of newsletters we enjoy into our own writing. A particularly useful section of the course was the description of different content types that work well for e-mail marketing. Those of us who dislike "salesy" content are given the revelation that our newsletters are a gift to our most dedicated fans. With this in mind, putting together newsletters becomes a more thoughtful and fun process.

A down to earth and honest voice. I found this quite relaxing and a really nice class to get rid of those fears of email marketing. I love how the audience can participate and questions have been asked.
