Just arranging limbs don't lower hand bottom him back up it takes oh she's looking for something you don't I'm not trying you from disgrace e c patting hands back you did not you tell her you had a job in that that shoulder yeah was it not under a no go he's well she's a tight fit snuck is a great day huh? Do you think this is enough? Because she's a decent shape its head off different position years connection out bythe so what do you want a longer yeah e just kind of smooth well sure better than under here I think it's too much she she's so big just need much much yeah because it keeps talking back yeah that's cool you have travelled from her head not funny forward you told her and I have to hold it I'm sure she doesn't get the show on so I can get out of the way what? Stand your fasting during league play hey it's just a shame because she's hysterical come my work here is done come shake my hand and I'll just keep hold of him you know you got your way this'd make yeah possibly a good single malt way ahead of you I think we need to start a little could get this between there and there just go bottoms twisted back do you want a four man underneath gotta hand? I haven't you know I don't know stone do well, I've got a bit held vanya let's just get a couple down yeah, no, I've got complete control here so I think I'm gonna have to what are you holding your anything don't gamble don't can help it I don't have three quarters back if you're here, don't you just step back from that life you can hold us doing? I'm ready. You get back and I'm ready for my first one around. Always people feeling over one little baby. She looks beautiful. Just test fire. Can you just you just saying all these people feeling over one little baby just get one shot down and she looks great she's a lot because but sometimes that's crap, because I don't squish in haven't stopped feeling and later, cyril I mean, the pacifying out of her mouth. I see what you don't miss the cold on me. You can hold her head don't oh, no, it's not okay. Not if you don't need to things just fine. Just check that on and watch the light. I don't know if you can show great you're talking about come on, get her chin up a little tiny bit. Everything else looks great. Well, I'll sort it out once you've got a couple. If we can get that to go if we put a hand under her chin, moron and that'll give you more room to talk the bit in your way, don't go, she gotta come on. It's okay she's just a really nice keeping on that shoot way stop scratching take talk through yeah he's thinking just get down between don't you watch you're here you're not you gotta hester I've gotta hit the next nominees for him or heading and I don't know it's not repairing because squished out know what different body length can actually pull it out I don't want that sweater you got this singular taking nick's just very good I call it feelings and what are they working on right now? They're just getting that she's longer thought longer than the last baby which fits in there really well it's just feeling with the costume really you know I mean we've got a couple of really nice funds and and so waken feel we can right and she's fast asleep so she's pretty good um somebody should really touching when they're sleeping and other suggest it could do any yeah so we've talked about this before and yesterday as well but even if um you're you're competent reason that you work with multiple babies is is it that there's something that might come that's unexpected they all have a different look yeah and they all lie differently if you will notice the difference between the first is true that we've done um it's just totally different than you and it's really subtle ways yeah, but if you see she's she's just rationalizing they're so longer back okay um just smoke and yes I'm ready I'm always ready oh nice yeah what you gonna do about it with way pacifier out often that's it challenge yes definitely different to see how you could mold each of the baby's differently she's quite chilly square like a less and it's all sorry canada is all about making them as comfortable as possible but they're doing what they naturally do exactly and it looks like she's sleeping on a horn but this just really sipping on a whole lot of phone and rain sometimes it's very cozy sometimes that's the frustrating thing because you think it's so kind but there's nothing wrong I'm here john wait can get rid of that and that she wants we can try on the left is your problem no um no don't write about bubbles but if you could get rid of that if you can't it doesn't matter as you do you think of it for way what's the season's way scythe just do one and then I'm gonna look at that little you don't get it cool oh and if you can tuck that bit down behind her leg that's right it's complicated in this bit of the bank and you know from down we're yeah that's it oh sure just soothe to when we were before this there's not much pink showing okay that's cool we got hips that's great yeah girl you got a pen with your daughter oh, no, you're not. So how was that for you? It's interesting. I thought that she was gonna wake up the entire time she's usually up at this time. Okay, so you know, it was kind of I was worried that she wasn't gonna actually stay asleep on them. It seems like she did. Okay, so what was it like for you to look at these images with it was really cool, actually equal opportunity and she's she's a lot bigger than the precious missing. Yeah. Oh, you've lost another year. You're still sleeping? She did really? Well, I I was just saying that she's usually up during this time something precious keep moving with the other two because it's people waiting a little bit too long I just get going to get this option knows how it fitted I don't know where you type. Can you undo it under the thank you so much for being a part of this it's horse now, it's really cool that we're able tto and how would you remind me how old is she? She just turned one month on saturday. Precious really, really precious learning how to blow bubbles she's pretty good at, um yeah, ok gail that's great oh, why don't you try to steal my shoes wanted a souvenir for you she's beautiful I know that's what? You were coming for help you after all kind of come and wash my hands and thank you so much. You just thank you so much. It was nice to meet you. Where you coming? Let me know what you drink wash sew and weave weave now tips yes, it's nice. Now, you know, this is interesting because, um, I really I really couldn't stop now, but I don't want to do that because ofthe uh I don't want to disappoint people and people control lot of trouble to bring in. You're born to this shoot, and I'm just not that sort of person, you know, I don't want to just walk ahead, walk in there and say, are you guys going behind? Um and so I will continue to photograph the other two and, you know, sometimes out of that, you get something really even better, you know, but it's just it's just to demonstrate the level of care and attention that we take to people's emotions as well. You know, if you just had a baby, a couple of the babies in the two weeks old and you go to all the trouble of getting out of the house and it's a long time since I had newborns, but I know what it's like, right? To come to a shoot like this then um we need to make a whole lot of fuss about the baby and I try and divert to photograph all four of them that's what it takes so long yeah yeah, but that's giving respect back to the people who are respecting entrusting you exactly to come into part of this exactly truly appreciate that has everyone or harm going everyone at home is going well rusk and let me know what people are saying but we had claire bear sixty who says uh may I say that this is amazing and is an icon and to be privy to real time shoot is a privilege good to see that things aren't sugar coated and that its warts and all that reason is what you get a story in making history in the making scene you are behind the scenes testing what's funny is I had to ask trust what the term warts and almond really you don't know oh it's funny between different countries you know we've just moved to new york and sometimes you know my husband I would say something and people look at your life there what like what can I say americans I squirrels where's that squirrel so like squirrels and american things that yeah well there's different so we love we love joking about it because we do so well in fact when I was reading in the beginning of the labour of love, there were some terms that I had toe go and and look up. Oh, I can just feel it was from a million, or I forget what they are right now, written from an australian point. What a beautiful thing to watch I once again on the newborns, just general wynne, that they are all beautiful and they are all different. And when, when you're photographing like that, that little baby there, you can totally get the feeling you put your put yourself in a position off that mom who's sitting there and how proud she is, and off her baby, and how beautiful she thinks her baby years. And so we treat them with all of that respect, because we honestly believe that they all are too, and it sounds like such a cliche, and I've been saying it for years, but I truly mean it that's, not a cliche. I mean, this is this is your work is your lady's, my wick and it's going very well today? Very well placed. Let us now at home again, what it is that you are loving, what you're enjoying, jump in that chat room, there's a little button over there on the left hand side of now on the right hand side of what you're watching t join in the chat rooms let's see ruses has given me some more details we have digital skillet who says who's a regular hate there sounds like a photographer exactly uh that's awesome that she chooses to keep going when she has already been wouldn't she's already shot teo be respectable for the families and charmed pixels photo your integrity and the way that you are with clients is amazing that in and of itself is a learning tool for people who are watching out there so thank you for that everybody we're so happy that you have joined us we are two babies into the for all right kenna yes imagine what's going on on the mother's room now without listening to that voice in your ear okay come on you're so good at it okay imagine what's going there asleep mother she did well I see not over there so we'll find out five minutes around about yeah sorry joe main come on she's jodi looks like cheese joleen you sing a song about that yeah yeah yeah yeah I made another fade so she's best way yeah so she's back in that bed cycle so that's what you think she's she'll be a possibility she was really really yeah she is she's beautiful she's really beautiful we'll try and get them on yeah have a couple of quick questions one is both on their way are we in my white shirt? You want mark to science and people asked about that yesterday evening get a chance to ask those air wearing white shirt they uh human reflectors that's what I call them because they standing so close to the babies and you always need that and so you know, obviously few wearing what it doesn't throw a shadow and we need to media yes it's closest on that really worked with some natalie kneeling behind there which I never thought it would actually work in that way but just just to hold up babies and make sure they're comfortable in the back and you know what the stella way in interpretation of the headless woman I just say when we're up there saying things and she's saying, oh, this is great hello ing way halloween so much in australia and new zealand so you guys are crazy for it we've got great holidays here but we have people joining us from all over the world with some of the different holidays actually wanted to come back to what you were talking about earlier about being photographing in in guitar and all these different places what are what are some of the other places that you have shot over your thirty year career? I've shot korman I've learned from that is really what here I shot quite a lot in the u s from san francisco shot in l a of course now seattle and new york it's interesting that when I first did when I did my first shoot in new york which was on or photographers or no um with a beautiful twenty twenty four inch polaroid camera there like maybe half a dozen of them in the world and so I did a shoot a few years ago dear and people I would say to me, oh, you know, it's, you confined babies in australia and new zealand easily you know, new york is a different, you know, you might find her hardened and that sort of thing and I said, well, I don't know why because parents are the same about their babies everywhere and and it turned out to be that way people were just sort of coming out of the woodwork was absolutely amazing and the way we used to do it in terms of finding the baby's was natalie, who everyone just met she would go into that city maybe ten days before and before the internet and everything you know and where people could look that was a little old and put out feelers into various communities you know, midwife's associations and often we've been looking for african babies because in australia and new zealand it was really, really difficult to find them um and I talk a lot about that in in uh um lengthy interview um and she just did that she just sent there and made a few phone calls and these calls started coming in and people were incredible you know I had we were staying in a hotel there at the time there was this an image that I'll show you of a little baby called level nine pound nevel stephanie she grabbed a picture of nine pound nevel say things like way call him nine pound naval because he was nine pound when he was born and his mother and father putting by the hotel on the way home so they were taking him home to meet grandma and unlike from the hospital you should be meeting grandma first before your meeting in well, I know it's fine, you know they still had the hospital. Yeah, so this is where you can hold it up so you know, this is nine pound nevel um who I photographed in new york on dso you know, families and the way people feel about their babies is the same everywhere we had a great shoot over there for that. And mother emma's standing is not the mother knows, right? Goodness me, she was a model I photographed with two models a photograph with emma on dh tooley who was african american and so we had a it was a great shoot, you know, just in terms of absolute simplicity, no props and all that sort of thing which I like to do as well, you know, kind of really classic image is it was a really nice experience because we photographed over ten days and it was a total opposite to this where this is really planned you know, a z talked about the creative process of going through all the motions you know, with the props and everything and we didn't have anything like that I just went in there every day with the it's beautiful newborns and two models and let it happen um and it was it was amazing you know, to just let your mind be free and I just don't know because I'm a big plan on a third guy was getting thisa od action which way you guys were like tio you know have everything's all everything organized and you know, you know the way it's kind of a and was that while you say it was wonderful was it challenging for you in a different way it was challenging and that I was nervous about whether I'd be able to come up with things but it was great, you know, left thinking that works the best creative time that I've had in a long time but this was in uh in nineteen ninety seven right um and then of course I photographed in um oh there was a shoot in l a many years ago where I went over specifically teo photograph african american babies, and we put out a call for african american babies who were newborn, and we stressed under four weeks of age way had hundreds and hundreds of calls, right. It was just overwhelming, I think was like six hundred or something. Natalie all remember on dh. I knew needed, like thirty two, forty babies over this time, some of the babies, we're like two years old. People like I haven't, you know, you're so in the end, we narrowed it down. I was like, how am I gonna choose these babies, you know? And so we had a like, a sort of a casting called just to thank everybody. And so all of these people turned up and I took polaroids of all of the babies and, you know, a photo with, um, and and then in the end, I just threw them out of a hat. Corporal, beautiful, beautiful. Speaking of all, beautiful we have it is going

I just read the other reviews and think people may not have watched the preview video or listened to Kenna's explanation of what was going to happen. I felt the class was exactly what was advertised, and thought Kenna did an excellent job keeping things moving when there were obvious delays or unexpected events with "the talent" (the babies). I felt like I was at Anne's studio and experiencing what actually happens when she is working on a project. You can't script babies and pets, so you go with the flow and adapt. I think that's what they said and did. Kenna was always prepared to discuss Anne's books, or other topics and did a great job getting personal/and professional with Anne-just as they said they were going to. It is Creative "Live" so it could have been Much less organized, and much more chaotic, but I was actually Very impressed with the production and smoothness of the Creative Live team. I did feel like my view was blocked at times when I wanted to see how they were setting up some of the actual shots- but in general I think they did just about as well as you could in those conditions. I am not paid by Creative Live nor do they probably even know me, but I'm very happy to support and actually buy their content-because I don't know another place/format that teaches so many different, practical, and interesting topics as they do and I Love that they take chances like this and really do Deliver. Anne was very clear that she is not a technician. Creative Live has Tons of Great Technician classes in So many genres of photography (and of course other area)- with Anne's class there is Plenty to Learn from her, but the value does not come in the Wam Bam machine gun delivery of latest tech and tools, it is in the methodical, patient, But Driven pace that is anything but chaotic (as one reviewer said). As I said at the beginning, I think they delivered exactly what was advertised and I am very happy with my purchase. There is a wealth of information and frankly entertainment, for someone who is interested in really seeing behind the doors... AND, it is good for new people and experienced people, who are looking to get better in their craft, more successful, or maybe even famous-if they are honest...to see that not every day in a studio (or in any profession really)-Even for Anne Geddes- is Glamourous, Exciting and "Sexy": sometimes it is crying babies that need their diapers changed.

I had the honor of supporting Anne in her launch of her beautiful line of baby clothing here in Washington ( as her fulfillment provider ) and her attention to every detail, their willingness to share their commitment to an unforgettable experience for every customer - it was such a pleasure to see the magic on the photography side of the business that I never had the opportunity to witness. Pure perfection, and thank you so much for sharing. Best to Anne and Kel! Michelle Harden

Watched the first day of this event and it was very different than other creative live workshops. Different is sometimes good and sometimes bad, this session was just that good and bad. It really lacked the teaching aspect, they did not go over her equipment, basic camera and lighting settings used to create the look she wants in her images etc...The lady who was interviewing her was terrible Anne seemed really open to share but the questions were very poor and lacked follow up and really diving into what Anne was doing. It was really neat to get to watch her work, she has an amazing personality that really is soft and kind and it showed in the way she worked with the parents, babies, and her team. It was a great overview of how she approaches the studio and a project and the detail that goes into making a top notch image. It is however weak on giving you the info strait up on how to improve your own work. If you want to see what it's like to work with a big team on a major project this is a great workshop. If you want technical teaching it is not so great.
