New Pages & Artboards
everyone. This video is all about making new outboards and saving some time. So we duplicate things. We're creating a kind of a new page in our website. Plus I'll show you how to make an app or a mobile website size as well. It's really easy, couple little tricks in there. So let's get going Alright to create a new page, you there's two ways. The outboard tool, you can click on it, it's the second icon at the bottom there and you can pick, let's say you want, I'm now working on my app, so I want to click on the iphone X. Ok. And with this tool selected, you can keep kind of adding them, you can add more if you like. I'm going to undo that because that's not what I want to do. I want just another version of this homepage. I could start with this. Okay, and that works perfect. I want to start with the 9 20 and I wanna start copying and pasting things across. Now. Duplicating is gonna be easier but I want to I do want to show you this little trick. Well, little trick is something XD does ...
by default, but it's really handy so you can click on this navigation, copy it if you click on the name of it, okay? Or make sure the whole upwards selected. If you paste it puts it exactly where it got it from. Okay, So it's kind of really handy just so you know, it's when you copy and paste things, it doesn't just end up in the middle, it puts it back on the page where you need it, you'll notice that I needed to really select that whole thing copy it, paste it. That can be really handy way to just move things across. But there are things like the background color you'll notice didn't come across. So I'm going to undo a few times and I'm gonna duplicate it a couple of ways of duplicating the page and there's the official way. So if I go to my layers panel, so down here, Okay, well upwards panel, so it's the second of the, like on the last of the, like on down the bottom. Um this homepage is what I've got, I can right click it and say duplicate, just sticks it next to it. That's totally easy way to do it. But because we're all hardcore extra users already, we can use the black arrow. Remember we duplicated boxes by just kind of like holding bolt on uh on a pc or option on a Mac while we're dragging, do the same thing with art boards. So hold down the option key on a Mac or a pc. You can just get duplicates. I do this all the time. That's the easy way. Let's rename it. Okay, I'm going to now call this one, the sign up. That's the start, trial, start, start trial, here we go. The start trial page. What I wanna do is I want to just delete everything now, you can see I can't delete if I delete now I'm not going to get rid of these boxes. So with them all selected though I can go to my command L or control L delete them or you can just right click them and unlock them. You can see there. How much time did it save? A little bit, at least the background colors in there. My foot and head is there and I'm gonna put some stuff in for the trial, starting the trial. So I'm gonna jump to our wires page there is there I'm gonna show you another little trick pricing where I want forms so what I can do black arrow, select all of these. So the whole thing selected and if I hit command three or control three kind of just highlights because I had that whole thing selected. It's kind of made it full screen. So which one do I want? I want this one here. So I'm gonna click on that copy it jump across. Taste it, it's going to go in here. They'll do and I'm gonna grab this text copy and paste it, bring it across and this is my start trial, start trial and that's all I want from this page and I lie because I want one of these now the default because I'm using the default I could copy and paste that across but because XD has a default of white with that gray. Around the outside I can just draw the box and reuse this. it's going to bring in a little trick we need to learn, we need to send this to the back because it's obviously above the text there. Now the easy way is to right click it and go to this one that says send to back. You can see the shortcuts there, that's what I use. But let's just right click it, send it to the back and now we've got a little bit more consistency across both pages and it makes it clear what this thing or this page does. I'm gonna lock it, come on dale control on a pc and that's what I want to do for this video. Making new outboards simple. Easy use the tricks when you're duplicating to the navigation and the foot, it doesn't have to be copied and pasted across. Alright friends, I will see you in the next video

Thank you, Dan Scott, for providing such a beautiful Adobe XD course. I completed the course today and noticed a couple of things that are missing. I want to share them here so that you can upgrade the course, which would be helpful for us. Hover state and toggle state. Dragging pages from 1-2 to 2-3 and then back from 3-2 to 2-1 with dragging is not working. Another thing is that we learned scrolling the website from top to bottom, but scrolling or pushing things from right to left has been completely omitted. These are the things I have noticed, and I would like you to upgrade them so that we can improve our Adobe XD skills.
