Button Grow
Hi everyone, it's more micro interactions. This one is going to be kind of a cool button, grow, watch this, click it kind of spreads out and goes back to a circle. I love it. Okay. And we'll also look at something very similar. So instead of growing a button, it's gonna grow the video to go full screen. Watch this, click the button. Okay. And you can see it kind of takes control of the screen plus there's some animation going on down here and with the navigation. So yeah, let's learn how to do that now and extend Alright to start it, I'm gonna assume instead of out and I'm going to use this button here. So I'm gonna copy it. I will command zero, Control zero on a pc and I'm going to put into new outboards and we're going to do this separately rather than trying to title back into the original artwork. And so I'm going to paste it on this one. Okay, And when that button is clicked, I'd like it to do that kind of full screen thing. It's gonna be pretty easy. So this guy here is called re...
ctangle 17, you can give it a name, we're not going to we're going to go you copy you paste and we're going to adjust it. So it goes full screen Nice. You can't get rid of the rounded corners that will adjust as well. And then let's give it a whirl. So all we're gonna do is switch to prototype command tab or control tab. Sorry, drag it across and make sure it says tap and says auto animate easing, ease out, ease in. You can play around with these, let's play around with the different one. Actually just stick it to ease out. It always looks better at ease out and then we'll practice a little bit more which this so previewed it Freddie city. Cool. Huh? Okay. This can change, it's over here. Start free trial. This one's not gonna be urine. Okay, let's get another preview stuffy. Trial urine. It'll fade across 2. 1 last one when this one gets clicked, it is going to do the same thing, but it's going to order animate into um, so you can't, you can't order animate a rectangle into an ellipse because the different kind of core things, but you can fake it. So the, this is the rounded corners and if I put in say 30 you'll see it's got quite rounded corners. But if I put in like 300 No go to 3000. That's probably enough. Actually. and I make it a square like this. Where are we? You need to be the same height and width. 375-375. So it's still a rectangle. You can see over here still rectangle 17, but at least now it looks like an ellipse and when that one is clicked. Okay, I'm going to go back to this original order animates. So looking good, It might work. Let's give it a try click you cook, You cook, You look at that. I love it. Okay, so that's doing it with just a flat little graphic. Let's do it with a bigger image. Let's do it with our Academy video here when the click play, I wanted to go full screen. So we're going to get rid of everything else and it's going to take control of the screen ish. So a couple of little things we'll learn in here is we're going to duplicate it. So this is going to be this version. What you wanna do is you want to link this up? So as soon as you make it creates some sort of micro interaction. It kind of does some weird stuff with the outboards that says, oh I'm an animation, I'm going to do special things. I'll show you what I mean. So I'll show you the difference if I don't link it straight away. And I say between these two outboards, I want these guys to kind of like slide off and then you go and say, alright, switch to prototype. I'm going to switch it down here. It's going to be able to animate tap, let's have a little previous. I'm going on this one because I wanted to slide off screen. Right, do that, click play. Watch these guys. They don't slide off screen, that is delete Okay, let's do it slightly different. So duplicate it. Okay, and then add your micro interaction and what it does is it's kind of like okay, so this is here, all of these appear here as well, that connection is made then right at the beginning, so it's going to look to see what these things do rather than just delete them. So they're offscreen, they kind of disappear. They're a little bit hard to work with now because they're kind of off screen. But now look at the difference. If I preview this top one and click on this really, you see the guy slide off, you can still just delete them and if I preview this one they'll go look on this, they fade out. Okay. The other thing we might want to do is you can slide them off a bit, so not offscreen and you can then lower the opacity. So there's kind of like a bit of both going on but preview this top one, watch this. So they kind of have to Sapir and slide off. Okay, once that happens I would like this to disappear, okay, and it will just fade off and then I'm going to resize this so it takes the control of the whole screen, what's gonna happen to the navigation, it's going to slide down and fade out just because we're practicing. So I really clicked play Cool. So once you are here, you can see I'm kind of stuck, how do I get back? So by default, sometimes it does it for you, sometimes it doesn't, so I'm gonna click on this whole art board and say whenever I'm clicked, what am I going to do after the animation gonna be on prototype? You can say click on that when it's tapped instead of auto anime and go back to previous outboard. And it gives you like this little return guy here that says tap anywhere and go back to the previous art board and it just kind of redux in reverse what you've done with your animation. So let's click on this one preview, click click anywhere otherwise people can get stuck in that little full screen mode. Let's preview the button again. I don't know why this is like such a simple thing. I love it so much Clickety click click click. Alright. Micro interactions And that's it for kind of like growing things really cool for entertaining your trainer, that's his main purpose. Alright, let's get into the next micro interaction.

Thank you, Dan Scott, for providing such a beautiful Adobe XD course. I completed the course today and noticed a couple of things that are missing. I want to share them here so that you can upgrade the course, which would be helpful for us. Hover state and toggle state. Dragging pages from 1-2 to 2-3 and then back from 3-2 to 2-1 with dragging is not working. Another thing is that we learned scrolling the website from top to bottom, but scrolling or pushing things from right to left has been completely omitted. These are the things I have noticed, and I would like you to upgrade them so that we can improve our Adobe XD skills.
