The World's Best Slide
so far. We looked at a number of universal principles of design and what I wanted to do was I spoke to our team of designers and I asked them to create something a slide that would summarize in the best possible way, the key idea behind effective presentation design. And I'm impressed by what they've been able to create. To me. I've never seen something like this. To me, this is really the world's best slide and I'd like to show it to you. Would you like to say I take it as a yes, So here you go. Isn't that amazing? Isn't that fantastic? It's just a pure black slide and you know what nothing is projected, which means that your audience can focus right back on you as the presenter. You see there is no rule that says that you always have to have something on the screen. If there is nothing you need on the screen, nothing is what you should project. If there is nothing you need on the screen that supports an important message that you are communicating, nothing is what you should project.
So every time you want to make sure that your audience's attention is on you as the speaker, that's the best light for you. Use it, use it often and now in the next lesson, which is the last one before the last chapter, I want to answer another question I get asked all the time. And the question is look now I do understand it, I do, I would love to follow this different approach to presentation design, but at the same time I need to use my corporate template, which seems to go against the principles we've been discussing here. So what can I do? Great question. Let's talk about it in the next lesson.

I was just beginning to create a series of presentations when I noticed this course. Serendipity! I thought I knew what I was doing, but learned some great techniques. More importantly I learned what NOT to do. Now I have much more confidence in the process.
