1 The biggest mistake I see new freelancers make 2 is that they don't really try to understand the buyer. 3 They try to sell to the buyer 4 before understanding the buyer's needs. 5 And then what ends up happening 6 is they're just trying to make a quick buck, 7 when in reality they should be trying to figure out 8 what the buyer's problem is 9 and then plan a solution to fix that problem. 10 And if they're able to bridge 11 from the problem to the solution, 12 that's when the order's made. 13 (upbeat music) 14 Your profile is one of the most important things 15 that people see. 16 It's what separates you from everyone else in the crowd. 17 This is a perfect opportunity 18 for you to craft how you wanna be perceived. 19 The first step is to do some research. 20 As Sir Isaac Newton once said, 21 "I have seen further," 22 and I'm quoting him, 23 "By standing on the shoulders of giants." 24 What that means is that we don't need to reinvent the wheel. 25 Our goal is to take inspiration f...
rom high performing sellers 26 and analyze what makes them successful. 27 You wanna take inspiration 28 from people who are already doing well in your niche. 29 What I want you to do in this exercise 30 is copy and paste the seller information 31 of the three top sellers in your niche. 32 So for example, this is my URL. 33 I'm gonna copy and paste this into the document. 34 My seller name is Mike Shoe. 35 I list my full name, Mike Shoe. 36 Why do I do that? 37 It creates a personal trust with the buyer. 38 The moment someone reaches out to me, 39 they know my full name. 40 I'm gonna copy and paste my seller name 41 into the seller document, 42 and then I'm going to take my seller description 43 and copy and paste into the seller description below. 44 My seller description is very results oriented. 45 It tells people exactly what I do. 46 It tells people the results 47 that I've generated in the past two years, 48 along with the different services that I provide. 49 I also use a tinge of mystery 50 before asking them to contact me to understand the process. 51 Do you guys see how this hint of intrigue 52 plus a call to action 53 is how you entice buyers to contact you to learn more. 54 It's not just this is what I do, learn more. 55 It's more of selling the mystery 56 and then getting them to contact me. 57 I'm also gonna copy and paste the skills, 58 matching the Word document. 59 And what I want you to do, 60 and this part is very important, 61 don't skip this, 62 is to include what you like about each profile 63 so that you can take inspiration 64 from people who are already doing well 65 and build on top of it. 66 You're gonna be doing this 67 for three other profiles in your niche. 68 Remember to not copy them, 69 but to merely take inspiration. 70 This is how you grow fast.
