Crafting Composition

When I'm looking at a composition, the most important thing that I can think of is foreground versus background. If you divide your frame into thirds, you'll find that you have a kind of a tic tac toe board. The rule of thirds is that if you put something on those lines of the tic tac toe board, you're gonna have a more interesting composition than if you just simply center things. And that's why the cactus is off to the left. Now, I also have, down on the bottom third of my photograph, I have rocks and bushes and things of that nature. And then you'll notice that in the center of the frame is just some water, which is really not the interesting part of the photograph. And then in the background, you'll see that the mountain is hitting that top third.

I wish more people would present this way! Each step from beginning to end demonstrated in short, concise and useful actions. Every tool and technique is something that I either use, (now better) or will start using because I now understand how to use it efficiently. I highly recommend this course!

Finally, a video tutorial that taught me what I've known on basic level and truly explore how to use it properly and what everything means. I've been waiting for something like this for awhile now. Greatly improves my technique now so thank you for this!
