Finding the Light
It's early morning in Arizona and we're waiting for the sun to rise because we want the perfect light on our subject. It doesn't matter how beautiful the scenery is that you see before you, the photograph is always gonna look better if the light is right, and you're gonna get the best light early in the morning right after sunrise, or you're gonna get that same beautiful light right before sunset. And the reason that light is so beautiful is because it's not directly overhead, it's coming in at an angle and creating shadows and highlights. For instance, the reason we're waiting here, for this light, is because I have mountains in the background, and those mountains are very flat if they're not lit from the side. And so I'm waiting for the sun to come up and hit the edge of the mountains so that I have shadows and highlights, and that creates volume. And while I'm waiting for it to rise and hit my cactus and light everything up, I need to make sure that my composition is correct and my ...
focus is correct, because once that light comes over that horizon, I need to get it as quickly as possible, because it only gets worse as the sun rises in the sky.

I wish more people would present this way! Each step from beginning to end demonstrated in short, concise and useful actions. Every tool and technique is something that I either use, (now better) or will start using because I now understand how to use it efficiently. I highly recommend this course!

Finally, a video tutorial that taught me what I've known on basic level and truly explore how to use it properly and what everything means. I've been waiting for something like this for awhile now. Greatly improves my technique now so thank you for this!
