Good morning, Internet and welcome to Kickstarter for filmmakers and photographers here on CREATIVELIVE. This is Chris Jenny, and this is Evelyn Danford. And we're gonna be your host today. Throughout the course. We're very excited to get started with this course. There is a lot of information to learn from our instructor, so I mean, I know I'm excited. Cross. How you feeling? I'm very excited. I've used Kickstarter a bit. I've funded some projects, very excited to learn more. I really just scratched the surface. So Clay's gonna get into a lot of the the nitty gritty the tips, the things that will help us all become better with Kickstarter. Absolutely, absolutely. You know, I've actually never used Kickstarter myself, but I've been a part of projects that depended on Kickstarter, so I find it very interesting. Kickstarter, you're going to get something out of this course. And you know, if you haven't used it yet, you will kick start is only growing so it's bound and your life at some point. We also have a great in studio audience here in San Francisco. So why don't we take some time now to meet them? So we'll introduce our studio audience will start over here. I'm running a Kickstarter starting in November 18th publishing a book with linked video for parents of Children with autism. I work with kids with autism both in San Francisco, just blocks away from here and also internationally, uh, and together with the mother of an autistic boy. I am trying to get this information into the hands of the people who need it the most. That's great. And I mean, I think that's what we're seeing with a lot of people that are doing these funding projects, that there's a really great cause behind each of their their goals. That's just on Kickstarter, which is really, really cool to see. Thank you. Thank you. Hi. My name's Alicia. I'm at Twitter on at a Blitch. I live here in San Francisco just down the road. I do not have a Kickstarter project yet, but I'm very interested in kicks data. And I think it's an amazing tool to bring people together behind projects. So I'm excited to be here today. Thank you. My name is Callous Aid, A documentary filmmaker and photographer. I'm working on my third project about women right in the Middle East, specifically in country where they were affected by Arab springs on dime in the process of actually launching a campaign. Teoh fund my film because I'm not gonna be going toe One country are gonna be going to multiple country. So I need some help with that great. Well, I I see it going forward for all of us. I mean, especially after we have plays expertise on you can find me on behind the revolution that come. Thank you. Great. I'm my name's Emily Smith. I'm joining from Las Vegas. I did eight years in the Marine Corps, and I've also had six kids. So my kickstart is kind of marrying those two things, and I want to dio birth photography for mothers. Sorry. It's emotional for me for mothers whose husbands the father of the baby is deployed so that I can bring them that magic experience that they're missing Wall, they're serving our country. Great. Thank you for doing that. Important for all of us. Appreciate you being here. And Jerry, um, my name is Blake Weaver. I'm an entrepreneur. Have to businesses one in, ah, graphic design and video production and then another business in retail installation. But I've used Kickstarter in the past along with Indiegogo, another crowdfunding platforms. And I don't have a project currently, but they'll be projects in the future. And I'd like to look back on my previous projects and see ways that I can, you know, better, employ certain techniques in order to get better funding and in, you know, grow my social network toe, have more people to reach out to you. So absolutely. And I know well, I'm touched back in on each of you and what your projects are and where you see it going. So I I'm very excited to see where you end up with the end of today and then follow up also and see where you guys end up. Once you really put each of these tactics, you know to good use. There's so much to learn about Kickstarter, what a pleasure to find it all in one comprehensive course! The title states Kickstarter for "Photographers and Filmmakers", but the material and ideas are relevant to all different media! (I'm working on publishing a book!)
