Final Q&A and Wrap Up
As far as the videos and the slasher video both of them how many rounds of edits if any do you allow and do you charge for that we don't allow them to any for any changes it's all subjective unless we did something just video just video video video stuff she does album all right but for the fusion stuff we tell them it's completely subjective if if they tell us like oh that person I don't speak teo and hate take him out or I've done something wrong like a misspelling or something along those lines yes well obviously changed that we messed up something way fix it if it's something like venice is like I don't speak my bridesmaid anymore we'll do what we can take it out if it's not like six months after the wedding if they had a falling out with that night of the wedding maybe you got too drunk and just wait don't talk any more I'll be like okay it's a film it's fresh in my mind I could do it no problem so but if they come to me well afterwards in for my films absolutely not because it's ...
too much work and again if I screwed something else happened fix it on the other is in our live audience here good okay you keller so yeah we have some questions cannon chick asks I'm a glamour photographer can I apply this to my business yeah, you're like a slammer. I mean, I'm just thinking boudoir and what men would not wantto see that live action, a tasteful way on and many of, you know, soup rice who was here on a crate of live, and she certainly is incorporating that her business loan us beautiful women who, who go and have their glamour photos, chicken because of the experience. And so when you add that emotion of them getting the makeup done, making that flow, posing it, just it really it really is a big impact. I have to say, though, obviously this applies to robyn knight in weddings. I actually think weddings is the place for fusion has the least amount of impact. Honestly, I think newborn and children's photography is up there hearing babies laugh on seeing your child's in there. I mean, I mean, you know, yeah, seniors it's more edgy, it's, more their style. I just I think the weddings there the least applicable think seniors is really powerful. I don't think the market is is really mature to that point where really will be as effective as a candy, because I think what seniors, I think printed your books are going to go away eventually, it's all gonna be online, your books or you know, something that's, more of a digital medium with your book and what else do you know? Something? B photographs at that point, you know, pretty soon we'll be walking out with microchips are way c and that's going to the video yearbook, so, you know, it's just I mean, you gotta look at the future, I really think that, you know, weddings, yeah, it was a springboard to what is really it's going to be the most so glam photography? Yes, absolutely, yes. So so you've given us all of these tools and so many tools over the next over the past few days, and clearly you've gotten you've done a ton of hard work to get teo where you are today, standing here in front of tens of thousands of photographers around the world and cinema joe had asked because he and perhaps a lot of our community might just be starting. How do you break into he was saying the wedding cinema world or, for that matter, the photography or video world in the field if you don't have any experience yet. So what? What's your advice there? Second chute, yes, get out there and shoot as much as you can for other companies, other people that you may know in the industry get out there and get experience with as many different photographers as you can to see you learn from a lot of different styles holding your skills learnt your you know get your make your bones get out there pay your dues because you don't get better you get better by watching resource slickness absolutely but your best education will be failing failing and failing and then re learning and learning learning it's it's a process of building character in the industry and you know, honing your skills I mean it really is about that get out there and shoot as much as possible you're gonna have to do if you're starting your own company and you have nothing to show you might have to do a couple for free I did when I first started my business I did I think I charged my less than my cost think I lost money on my first to what I do every job feli I went out there and I was so passionate about that was such a great job that we I killed it and then we came back and we put it together and then I just this is before social media this is before twitter, facebook and things like that before, you know, putting a video online back then was a big issues before youtube exploded so it was really more about just, you know, getting people in bridal shows I was doing a lot of bridal shows just to kind of get waves of people passed my tv screen so definitely don't give up don't get discouraged okay so um h town asks wanted wants to ask vanessa and rob how is it that fusion looks the same across the world from still motion to you guys how do you think it will evolve and what is the future of fusion first of all thank you for having me and still motion in the same sentence he will not fit through that doorway thank you thank you thank you reason there's a great that's a great question I'll tell you why this is my opinion you can probably totally disagree with me and that would be fine it boils down to the fact that five team or two and the dslr zzzz they stand right now have a very distinct look because of the technology that's built into them okay sensors or a certain way that optics or a certain way a cz you see newer and newer cameras coming out the market like the new threads that are becoming more affordable and they are recent flags and black magic hammers on these cinema cameras are really pushing the boundaries of what is what is able to be done right now or what has been able to be done in the last year or two so as we get into resolutions like four k and the sinner prime lenses that are coming out newer, newer optics you're going to start seeing that looks start to shift in a different direction it's funny going video now we're watching in an independent film on video last night because I just like the brows and I can tell me I'm like shot it with five more to that was a thirty five one point four and that was a fifty one point to I could just tell exactly what he was doing even though his color grading was different and they made it look different with the colors and vibrance you could tell what it was shot with and I think that's going to change gradually as things technology or increases that look will start to shift and the forefront people on the forefront like still motion like those companies and like joe simon and the big names in the cinema world these guys are gonna be at the leading edge of that they're gonna be pushing and then I think on the other end you've got experience people but I'm really excited as video becomes more second nature to the younger generation I really am excited to see what kind of like new creativity is respond from people who don't necessarily have to learn video in the way that we do that but they grow up with it you know in the way that creativity is going teo implement fusion future so I'm pretty excited for it actually plus trying to broker a plus trends change and right now the look that's in style right now is not going to be a little guts in style in five years we're going back on the work that we're doing now and go you know you're gonna look at it it's okay but faces the poop something that we're doing right now and that's what we do that's just the nature of our business way only we only have a few minutes left a little bit left and wei have a great quote in here that I I wanted to read out of some sandy kumar and I think you said he was in india who says thanks rub that quote about failure and losing money is a lot of inspiration fear of failure has been bugging me through the weekend on especially so new so now I feel confident and they don't want think about so screw thank you move in and do you have any any final words for us as we leave as we wind down yeah, I'll take it from that fear of failure I have to admit I was a gymnast growing up so that kind of perfectionism is definitely ingrained in me on d when I was starting out in photography and then attempting to learn this new video stuff and we're importantly for me was self teaching you know self taught how to do the video in photo shop and trying to overcome all of these bigger things like that you're a failure like makes my heart pound even just talking about it because there is such a feel fear of failure and then I had you know my husband is the one who's critiquing me so of course very kind and his critiques but I want to make him proud I want to make my parents proud I want to make my clients like happy and proud of me I have a fear every time we get an email from a client like they're going to hate me but that is something to push through that failure you know let that drive you don't let that stop you you know what that that inspire you to do new things and you know what? You find that support group don't be afraid to fail because if I fail he'll still love me and if I fail my dog tiko will still love me and if I fail my parents will still love me and you know, we all have hopefully that kind of support group teo to fall back on so don't be afraid to fail you can still let it make your heart pound but let that with that driving forward and so pushy back thanks awesome because I think now you know it makes makes you're so successful and it makes you look so so much really you know so well to everyone who's out there thinking that now I can do this two way are really working people it's nothing I mean I know the industry likes to put people on pedestals and that's great I mean anything and people who are willing to teach others in the industry is a great thing the thing to remember is you weigh all come from some sort of adversity in our lives and it's about battling back from that and you know, just for myself I come from a pretty dark place in the past where I lost both of my parents by the time I was sixteen and no, it wasn't your housing in college and I'm putting myself through college and I end up you know, long story short a couple years later starting my own business and being successful but there's a lot of failure and a lot of obstacles along that way to step over to get to that point and you know you wouldn't be you guys you five would not be sitting here today if you didn't have drive if you didn't have that spirit of going out at work at to be successful and I think I could probably say that everybody is watching this right now probably feels the same way you wouldn't be watching an educational resource if you didn't have some sort of a fire under your butt to get you up and moving and to motivate you to do better in your life that's what it takes to be successful in business everybody watching this khun b successful it's just a matter of how much effort you put into it to make it happen but don't let your work defines you it's not the most important thing about you that's right keep bigger picture in mind you know you know seek seek out those eternal things the things that really matter you know make sure that's in the forefront and you're living the way that you want to live and then the rest this is is really secondary and like I said you know your family's gonna love you that's still going to love you and I know you're you're still gonna love me right it's a choice seriously way we could just take a second I just wanted I think I speak for men that so when I say this has been the highlight of our careers and weigh just want to thank you guys everybody here creative lives and the five of you for coming as far as you did to be here today thank you guys that lifts us up we want you to know that so we just want to thank everybody the crew the corporate everybody everybody involved thank you so much for having us here thank you all for watching we hope that this was informative and if it was go out there and apply it we want to see you guys succeed absolutely and we're excited post videos on our facebook page. I want to see them. So there you go, internet, do what rob says, go out and do it. So thank you very much for joining us for these three days. Worth every penny and then some! i just purchased the course and can't stop watching it. I normally don't give such high praise, but these guys turn out a very high end product and are so efficient with their workflow. The class was so full of information, they walk you through the process step -by-step, and take the fear out of photo and video fusion. I can see how the thought of adding video to your workflow can be intimidating, but Rob and Vanessa do an amazing job of simplifying the process and showing you which programs and scripts will make your life easier. This is THE photo and video fusion course to buy if you are contemplating adding video to boost your sales. Great job and thanks to Creative Live for finding such great instructors!

They were good as 'teachers'.Well organized. Rehearsed!! but they are also good at selling. I think this whole course was a big Ad campaign in a way for their sponsors like Animoto and especially for Their actions!! It actually turned me off. Felt like they were trying to sell me something- A live infomercial. Nothing against their work though. They gave you just enough info and tips but the rest really depends on their fusion actions and your skill. They Definitely get you excited to create your own though!

Excellent presentation. In your presentation you modeled appreciation, support, affirmation and humility in a way that was inspirational. These characteristics together with a depth of knowledge in your topic area gave it huge integrity. Thanks!
