The Fusion Album

I'm really excited to show you guys this next thing, so what you have seen before and what we have built either before or adding in that extra audio we call the fusion slide show where you see picture, picture, picture, video clip, video clip, picture video clip picture like one at a time. Coming up, however, robin, I have created something that we call the fusion album I've heard different coins turn or a different terms going for this and things like the living album I thought was a really good one, a friend of ours, jeff and maryland came up with that name and but it's really just a powerful thing. Basically, what I do is create album spreads just like you create for an album, but at least spots for moving video and there's moving video in there so I could try to talk to you about this and what it looks like. I'm just going to let you guys see a short clip of a fusion album spread, and then I'm going to show you how easy it is to do. Wait, wait, wait, wait, wait ah, so that is what ...

a fusion of amiss and it's actually it's a few steps more than what it takes to create a fusion slideshow, however it's not that many more steps, and I have also you created actions to streamline this process in photo shop and that's how I'm going to show you how to do it so by the way, these are really popular these people really love thinking we delivered in a multitude of different ways we'll talk about latin woman later but they are in demand and it's something that's becoming more more popular sure can just a couple of comments in the chat room never give up says this is where the money is made on and pictures of pro saying this is so cool just saying so glad I am watching this and fashion tv like in this life by rebecca this is really awesome so what I'm going to do is pick up so the first part of the work flower picked our pictures and we edited them and we edited the video clips were picking up from that point so let's just assume we've already done that which we have to this wedding and from there we're going to create album layouts you can create your album layout in any type of program that you wanted during the break I quickly created awesome and adobe photoshopped personally, I like to use a program called photo fusion louis picks for the pac mpc I really love that program it's nice and easy, but the thing to remember is that you have to create your album layout to the video resolution size of your final video and high res video doesn't remember the pixel dimensions of hiring you hd pixel resolutions right? So ten eighty would be your vertical and then nineteen twenty cross to be your horizontal so you would create album spreads that are nineteen twenty pixels across my ten eighty down at seventy two tv I remember their screen resolution so they don't need to be three hundred p I don't need to be print resolution exactly you can keep the pixel dimension but save yourself the space you don't need a very high dots per inch so that's what I did and really quickly before I tell you any more steps so you can visualize that and see what that looks like I did that already that's going to hear the infusion album so you can see here where I have made spreads and I have left a spot down here from moving video on that one here I'm gonna put the video here this one I think I'm going to put two video clips here this one will you use a video clip is the background video clip goes here and then someone and so forth video clips here and here so I've left spaces for moving video in all of these album layout and their j pegs and video resolution that's it yeah think accident left that one is fiesty if you if you mistakenly design your albums for it's too large you know, just scale them down to get him is close to that as possible, and you might have tto you might enable black bars on the side because most photo aspect ratio is different than sixteen by nine, which is video, so you just have that just kind of crop or stretched the design, do whatever you have to just fit it in the video resolution format, so you create the album layouts like I have here, then we're going to insert the video clips into photo shop and I'll show you how to do that. We render them out of photo shop, so what happens is you take these j pegs you're putting the video clip onto the j peg when you render it out, that file now becomes a video file, so then you simply take those video files, upload them to an emoto you pick your style music, and however you're going to spotlight your favorites like the favorite spreads, if you did some that were just pictures that you saw on that one, did some that didn't have any video laps in it and produced and the animal to do the work for you. So once again we're letting an emoto do the heavy lifting all we're doing is watch how easy this is to do it it's scary how simple this is. So what's gonna happen is I'm just going to go into photoshopped right here on we're going to open up my first sp spread so spread one right here and I'm like rob I like tio float float windows and I don't know I just gives me a better perspective I think okay, so I have my actions we need to pull those up and we have what we call the fusion album builder arranged my workspace so the fusion album builder it's this one down here pull it up it's an action that all is and you have either insert first video clip or insert additional video clips and then render video so I have no video clips here and this hold her action actions really walks you through the entire process with instructions along the way. So the very first thing when you click it it's going to remind you that you should have alan spreads with the nineteen twenty by ten eighty pixels and if that's not the case step, fix it and go on so we could continue because they are good and the first thing we do is select the rectangular marquis tool and draw box where you placed the video clip you want to be precise this's exactly how big your video clip is going to be on the spread so click my rectangular marquis tool and I know I want it about here that's good and if I want to move it down I could just click and move it down kind of be more precise about it but that looks good to me continue my action notice of the action turned red at that point is that something that will happen of everybody system because your action has paused whenever his actions that pause that say you re start them on browser window that follows I am going to pick the video clip that I want to insert so I will hit continue and I'm going to go to my fusion slide show because that is where I know I have video clip I want and this is a detail one so I'm going to use rob's detail of the shoes are they here and if you wanted to you know back when we did the work flow you could put your video follows in a separate folder you know however is comfortable for you but we know where everything kind of is in this folder so right we're just working with weight is I think hears of the shoes is in a different medical problem with this and we should've ordered it will use the one of the rings if we can't find it he never does it's in here that video clips there you go there there and believe it's in the rendered videos so you had a place and it's going to put it in there for you just like when rob was adjusting before you're going to hold shift to fit it in the window and you can see where it's faded so it shows your crop guide so I'm gonna do right about free form or just re sizing just re sizing it so it fits in my window you know what's even cooler about this is that when you scale anything down how it looks better you know you scared me dallas clear maurin focusing more sharp well that's what we're doing what we do upstairs actually makes your video clips look better than they were when they were false free so definitely a plus there and then we just click that check mark too apply that now it's going to automatically add a black border around here which is fine for me because I've had black borders around these if I wanted to change that I can change that afterwards and I'll show you how to do that all right and then the last thing we need to do here in the timeline just this to drag the play head to the shortest now do you remember what happened before whom the adjustment layer had moved off of our timeline potentially this video clip can move off of the timeline of the j pick so what would end up happening you would keep going and the video clip would mysteriously way turn into a black box because it's not a video clip to keep playing for as long as we've told it to keep the spread on the screen right? So that's that actually the play head is good right here so I'm just going to keep going and that's it and you move on to your next one so let me do it again but I know I know you want to read it a few times um so let's go to my fusion album and we'll do it spread to is everybody following so far you guys here in the studio does it seems pretty simple to you are you have questions at all? Yeah it's it's basically just adding a video layer on top of what you're doing who knew you think so? Oh yeah looks like it. Oh you're just inserting okay, so this is also the file that I'll show you how to change the border could say I have a white border here so what will do good in surfers video clip again continue because that's, just reminding me about the correct size will select the right tacular marquis tool and draw the box won't place the video clip so there we go rectangle rectangle that looks about right there I'll leave that I'll continue my action by clicking on it again and this is asking me to pick which video I want to go in there, so I'll click continue go again let's you have infusions slideshow folder and this one I will probably pick one of rob's where she was getting ready in the mom was sitting there that one I think I really like that one so hip place and sometimes it does take a little while that was a longer video clip so photo shop again not necessarily meant for this but I can do it so you'll just notice things like that it'll just be a little bit slower than you'd like to be sometime just be patient with it you know it takes a little long is always you see a progress meter it's doing something don't get frustrated and I think you know a minute or two longer he's carrying something so again we're just going to resize this holding shift, but we dragged the corner down to get this in here and it may not fit exactly because remember you're drawing that marquee too fit the aesthetic of the design and it may not be the exact aspect ratio as you can see there the video clips a little bit wider screen but that's ok, it doesn't have to be sixteen by nine in the album as long as the outside and I'm not dropping off mom so where so I'll just hit enter to apply that and again it's talking to me about that black border that we're going to end up changing so we'll click okay and it's going to tell us again to move the play head thank you and then it's down here I can see the play head all the way at the end we're moving it over this is also a way if you wanted to trim the video here at some point you could do that put the play had like right here maybe you wanted to on ly have that part there but you can also see, you know, scrub through, see the actual movement of that there and show you that one before so I'm gonna leave it at the end because I do like this right there and then that's it and we move on so now we've got one blackboard or one white border big peppy for mine that's a no, no all you have to do it's just a stroke on the outline so you just come over here double click on it and it's already going to go to the stroke and then you just make a white so literally that's so you create fifteen or twenty or thirty you however many of those I mean if she wasn't teaching she could to get ahead what fourteen or fifteen of those dumb but I could I could you know, do a whole bunch of them putting this together probably takes as opposed to the slide show it probably psni on extra half an hour you know fifteen minutes design thie ten twenty albums spreads again the program I use is really quick it's called linda picks photo fusion um and and then fifteen minutes to do this and then when I'm done all your doing there's a render video action that is part of these actions you hit render video and it does is it for you and I select the folder where he wanted to go but you will default tio where it came from you came from you didn't have to run them out one at a time or canadian was a batch you khun batch surrender these as well so maybe you want to do all of here spreads at one time you could leave them all in there and then just like we file automate batch with other processes that we do same thing file automate batch go to render video action we tell you how much we charged with wait till I don't know it is part of the next segment we could leading nothing let's have people guests in the sara how much she charge that's a great idea how about this we should give away a prize if you guess correctly and prices right rules guests closest without going over we will give you this action for free all right all right I hope kate stairs but well no just yeah we'll let you guys run that contest that way if you win all those e mails, okay? Oh no, do that, but there's are rendered video what's that so that will be one of the video clips that we would throw into an emo tum and you'd have ten, twenty of them have the audio, the sound that was on the video that we inserted it's still there, it's preserved. So if you had some great audio rigging, the dog barking or kid going or something like that and you uploaded the standard moto, you could just tell an emoto, leave the audio on for that clip in and remain in the slide show so that's that you just keep repeating the process. So I'm going to show you visually the process in my little workflow again so that you can see it, so to start off, we've already sorted our favorite edited photos and video clips and edit it of them and pick them out. When I do create those album layouts, I am keeping in mind when I was creating those layouts, I looked at the pictures I liked, okay, what video piece matches and I thought of the video piece or pieces because you could add to and there if you want two or three or four, you can add, as many video component says, you want like a little crazy after a while but I thought about that designed the album layouts with those video clips of mind knowing where I was going to put them did that save them is j pace then we went into photo shop and we inserted the video clips into their fusing the fusion album builder action set that you can find it in us and rob dot com and we backed render them out render out the spread layouts after that process we would then upload all those new spreads which are now movie clips into an emoto and go through the regular and emoto process picking your style music you can add text to the beginning and end or in the middle if you want teo it in touch on adding text in an emoto before that you could do that and then again an emoto is rendering everything out so you can go ahead and while and motor does work for you you can have a martini so that's pretty much it as faras the fusion album and it goes and remember you can go back and now take your fusion album in tow I'm moving than edge your vows under david I mean that's pretty powerful stuff yeah you could do the exact same process when you know it's just an animal to slide show after and moto creates it so pull that down the capulet in my movie and add some audio into it just like you did with the sideshow really, it's a lot simpler than it looks. Didn't I promise? It was a lot simpler than it looks gave.
