Now, you are the party animal. Gonna see if I can get her on her back, in here. Good. (fabric rustles) I don't want it to go down inside that well. (fabric rustles) I wanna get that bottom down a little more. Can you put him in your lap? Mhm. And help me push down here? I'm gonna pull the beans apart, and if you could get your fingers down in there, just to push down, and then we're good to go. No, down the sides here. Oh, this side? Don't, hang on (mumbles), we've got to push apart... Yep, there we go. That's it. We'll just get you down a little lower. So I'm just trying to sort of move her around here, to give her some modesty? (both laugh) And position her little paws. I got a cute hairband there, but I think I'll just stick with this. (camera beeps) (camera clicks) Okay. So I'm actually gonna go center-weight metered here, because I've got a darker area around her, and that is perfect. So focusing on the eye again, but I am shooting at 2.8. So I've got that really beautif...
ul depth of field, and I just wanna bring her little face closer to the camera now. She got stiff (laughs). Cross her paws, can you do that? There you go. Yeah, let's put that on. Not in the foot paw (mumbles). (fabric rustles) So I'm looking at it from here, and what I can see... (camera beeps) (camera clicks) Perfect. Too cute. This little guy, still fast asleep down here. Well, that's pretty much the most adorable thing that we ever done (laughs). And you can't complain about playing with little puppies running around, 100 miles an hour. Are you waking up now? Yeah? Get a little sleep? They're probably ready to rock and roll again. So yeah. That's little Cavaliers at six weeks old for you. How cute are they?

I am not a photographer. I do compositing using Photoshop and was interested in seeing how they set up and pose such lively subjects. Such care was taken with the puppies and I learned a lot about getting just the right poses using different setups like muslin, bowls, etc. For compositing, it's important to know what you are looking for in order to bring images together correctly. This course, besides being fun to watch, has helped me, even if my images don't wiggle as much as these puppies.

I loved everything about this class!! It was so obvious by the handling and the way you interacted with the puppies how much care and thought goes into the artwork you created. I'm so excited to put all of your ideas into my own creativity. Thank you for providing me with the inspiration to move forward with pet photography!
