Adding Stars

So everybody here all your all your goodies are in their little box and ready to go um and in here you've got some of the fun little bit to you so we've got we've got like a little vintage spoon like I said I had the cow jumps over the moon in my head so you also have a vintage milk cap and a spoon you know um and then I pre punched some these air just paper stars that I punched with a craft punch um and then some baker swing and we're going to use the tiny attach er which is like basically just a mini stapler and it just has little teeny tiny staples in it and they're just fun they're cute but you can use a regular stapler if you've got a nice red swing line at home feel frieda break it out sorry movie reference um and what I'm going to dio with this is start building this half of my piece so I'm gonna take my baker's twine just pull some of it often grab my scissors and knock a bunch of stuff over in the process and cut it and should put this back together first um what we're going t...

o do is just cut different lengths so they all hang kind of staggered if you want him all the same you can I just always love it when things are a little bit not symmetrical and he's going to cut some pieces of string here I was going to die a little not in the end and start stapling the string teo the stars so I just take my star I lay not kind of in the middle and I turned the stapler upside down because I want the part that creases unfolds over right by the night so it is line it up and I staple on kind of catch it underneath there and then I just trim any access that might be hanging down and then just put it to the side for now so I'll do that for all six of our all five of my quibble stars there's five or six and there I can't remember and if somehow I miscounted when I was kidding and you need more or less or whatever just holler if you need more because I have more we're just going to attach our little if you miss that's ok because I just missed first one went so smooth they knew that that was just luck of the draw all right? And if you're like me and you suddenly miss you can kind of make it fit if you have to I found the name for the user with the five year old her name is allison and her five year old is daisy says they craft together all the time and daisy has more spaces and her too you are not the only one well, thanks for watching if daisy makes stuff I want to see okay, so we're just going to get these little guys prepped and ready and you could glue these down to or take him down. I just I love the little staples I just think they're cute so it's just a preference thing more than a technical a technical bit, so if you're at home going, I don't have anybody teeny tiny stabler that's okay? You can use tape or glue or anything else you've got to make it work. How are you guys doing out there saying all sorts of fun paper, clay things that are not owls and boats and moon so I can't wait to get over there and see what you guys did because I'm all excited now see the variations and the different pieces this should be you will stay put on some how I ended up with six so if I have some of these star and you only have four, let me know when you can have my I have the sixth man sitting over here. All right? So now I'm going tio attempt we'll open it up like you would if you were I was a teacher for years and so you'd open up your stapler needed staple things to the bulletin board that's kind of what I'm going to do at this point with the stars and I'm just going to staple them to the top of the piece so right in here we're going to throw a staple and just hold it in place so maybe maybe we will if I didn't jam a stapler okay, seriously talking and I think I jammed it while I was talking okay someone's going toe pop my staple in there and hold it in place again if you want to use glue or something else feel free I just like using a little stapler and then all I do is with the extra that's hanging over, I make a little loop and and not and just tie it to the staple so it just has a little extra stability and then I go back in and I just trim the end off I'm gonna do that for all of these and get my stars in here and you can also what's cool because you've got the depth of the box you can have some hanging really close to the edge and some further back so you get a nice perspective two of some that are close and some that are far away, so I'm gonna kind of mess around with that as well and this would be really cute if you had like photos or something, you could hang little photos, take a little circle puncher something in cut the mouth, there's all sorts of fun. I love shadow boxes just in general because there's just so much you can do with them. It's a great way to their great for art pieces, but they're just a great way to go hold your memories of this popped mine apart, okay, that's all we're going to do with our little stars to get them up in our night sky and I want one hanging really long thank all right, look at these guys. I'm here and then after I get these on, I'm going to finish up this night, sky peace with you little additional shimmery shane's toe really make the night life come together a little too short and I'm trying to tie the knot. We made it last one here. I did not know until today that I needed a tiny state where they're just it's I don't know, I love many stuff like I just many things to be so cute, like little mini teacups and little I'm like it's a mini stabler, even though the stapler itself is like regular size, but the staplers, we're still tiny, they're just so cute.

This class was wonderful. I enjoyed Stefenie's teaching style and that the entire project (except the paperclay pieces, which needed drying time) could be completed in just a day. She introduced many media that were new to me. I would never have accomplished so much in such a short time without her inspiring project and encouragement. I completed my first shadow box two days later. I will watch any class Stefenie teaches at CL!
