in this lesson. Let's take a look at shape to control in depth. Using rectangle tool I just create random rectangle shape on the document. Now. Using selection tool, grab the corner. Then you can resize and reshape the shape. Also if you can also if you hold down the shift key then you can keep the proportion of the original shape and you can resize also moved the castle close to the corner and you can see the cross will change too. This both angle shape then you can start rotating. Also if you look at the circle close to the corner and you can grab the circle and drag towards the center. Then you can add the round corner to the rectangle corners. And if you grab the direct selection tool and you can select one of the corner. Then you can edit the shape. Or you can grab the side in move and you can edit the shape this way too. So with direct So with the direct selection tool you can either grab the corner and move to edit the shape where you can grab the side of the shape and move and ...

edit another way to edit the existing shape is using at anchor point to at anchor point tool will increase the number of anchor points. Once you create the new anchor point you can go to direct selection tool and moved the new anchor point you just created. Then you can edit the shape this way or you can select, do you can select delete anchor point tool and this will reduce the number of anchor points. And if I clicked this corner of the rectangle, then I can edit the rectangle into this triangle when we are using shape tool we need to understand how the stacking order to work. To understand the stacking order, we will put different colors to each squares on documents. As you can see the last shape you draw will be on top of the other shape that's created right before the last shape. But sometimes you want a shape to be on top of certain shapes. For example this red square, if you want to put on top of this blue shape, we need to change the stock in order. Do that go to object menu arrange bring forward in this case this red shape, it's still underneath the orange shape. So if this shape, if you want that shape to be all the way on the top of everything, then you will choose object menu arrange, bring to fraud. If you put the shape two behind of some shape, then go to arrange. Send backwards. Go to object menu, arrange send to back, we'll put a shape all the way to the back of everything else when you use type tool and you can create a text on documents. Now this is a text. It is not a shape. Yes, but you can go to type menu and by creating outlines, you can convert text into a shape. Now this is a shape. Now meaning that you can edit by using direct selection tool before you create outline of the text dysfunction, it's not going to work. And now text is editable shape. In this lesson, it is important to understand how to edit the shape and how to control the stacking order and how to create shapes out of any text that you can type.
